Babolat Technical Viper 3.0 Padel Racket
Babolat's most powerful racket gets even more powerful
As part of the 3.0 edition of the Technical line, Babolat completely overhauls the Technical Viper 3.0 with a brand new mold and frame geometry for 2026. Leaning away from the rounded tip as seen on other Babolat diamond rackets, the 3.0 Technical family gets a more angular profile at the end of the frame, what Babolat refers to as a Reinforcement Window. This new design increases both the racket's swingweight and twistweight, making it more powerful through the air and more stable while turning over resulting in more power access. Now standard within all the Technical rackets, Babolat's Dynamic Stability system boosts both aerodynamics and structural rigidity through curated air channels in the throat, in addition to a center bar for more sturdiness from handle to tip. Internally, Babolat has also added a Carbon Power Layer, which is a strip of carbon fiber within the foam layering to increase reactivity in the core of the racket, which increases power. Also new for this 3.0 Technical family is a slightly shorter handle, which increases maneuverability across the board. This diamond-shaped advanced player's racket is the most demanding option within the family and from Babolat, coming in at a hefty 370 grams with a head-heavy balance to emphasize even more power. Make no mistake, this racket is an extremely demanding experience and caters much more towards advanced players with refined technique. One of the other main changes for the Viper 3.0 from the 2.5 edition is the hitting surface composition. Previously, the Viper had a 12K carbon makeup, whereas the 3.0 edition has a softer 3K carbon, which helps the racket be more accessible to a larger variety of players. Additionally, the Technical Viper 3.0 makes good use of Babolat's Holes Pattern System, which opts for smaller holes more in the center for increased precision, and larger holes around the edge of the racket for more forgiveness on off-center shots. In the heart of the racket, Babolat's Vibrabsorb System utilizes inserted elastomers that reduce vibrations in areas of high impact. This update is one of the most substantial ones we've seen yet from Babolat, and brings even more power into the equation for one of the game's most powerful hitting experiences. More mass away from the handle is challenging, but the uptick in comfort and handling capability makes this racket more user-friendly across all levels. Advanced players craving even more power should consider this updated Technical Viper 3.0 for the power it can potentially add to their game.
