Made for building up 2 grip sizes+I agree with Giannis that Xcel Gel is best used for building up a grip adding over two sizes. This increases circumference by 0.3" on average. I say "on average" because it's so thick that it varies from unit to unit by about 0.25-0.35".
Yes, it's the thickest replacement grip there is, and it has been for a long time. Go with the others Giannis mentions if you want a thinner buildup.
The downside is that Xcel Gel rounds off the bevels vs.sizing up to larger pallets (an expensive and time consuming mod). But here's the thing. Bigger hands don't need bevels like like smaller hands do; longer fingers produce more than enough purchase.

The Babolat Xcel Gel is 2.6mm, thicker than all the above, and it turned out to be the best one for grip size increase. The shock absorbing qualities is a very nice bonus, it makes stiff rackets very comfortable.

OverallI have tried several different grips based on the reviews shown here, and the Babolat grip is the best so far. The grip has enough tape on the backing to hold it in place while you're installing it and months later it is still in place. There is always a but and the Babolat grip is a little thicker it seems than some of the others and this may not be a good fit if the grip becomes oversized. That being said, this still is the grip to use if you want a good product.
