Overview

Sporting a brand-new innovation within the realm of pickleball, CRBN shakes things up with an all-foam interior paddle, the TruFoam Genesis 3! Say goodbye to any core crush with the brand’s 100% all-foam TruFoam insides, which create a more powerful and comfortable hitting experience simultaneously. The foam is also engineered to maximize dwell time and flex on the paddle, which is extremely practical for spin generation and shaping the ball through your shot. While the interiors are revolutionary in their design and construction, the exterior is also noteworthy for its blend of raw T700 carbon fiber and a layer of fiberglass for extra strength. The paddle makes great use of a precision-oriented 16 mm overall thickness. For the TruFoam Genesis 3, the length comes in at 16.5 inches for a good blend of reach and power, while the width measures in at 7.5 inches for a good blend of stability and control. The handle length skews slightly longer at 5.25 inches, with a circumference of 4.125 inches. The paddle in also in an accessible weight range at 7.9 to 8.3 ounces in stock form. Overall, CRBN has created something extremely special with one of the market’s first all-foam interiors, turning the heads of recreational players and pros alike.

The MOD held me back!I have been playing pickleball for about 2 years now and have purchased and tried over 70 paddles (I know, I have a problem). Over the past year I mostly used the Perseus Gen 3 and the MOD for rec and competitive play. When the GEN 3 was delisted I was very disappointed as I had really gotten used to the power and felt like I had good control with it. Same with the MOD when I used it to replace my GEN 3. I was excited to try the Joola Perseus Pro IV knowing the MOD was being delisted. It’s a good paddle but NOT what I am currently using. I got the CRBN TruFoam 3 about the same time as the Perseus Pro IV and added Slyce speed caps to both. No comparison. The CRBN Trufoam has changed everything I thought I knew about paddles and how to play pickleball. First and foremost- this paddle is amazing. I can shape my shots WAY more now. I get tons of spin and actually can hit the ball HARDER than with the GEN 3 or the MOD! The difference is the power comes from me and the paddle responds so much better. No unwanted “out balls” etc. Instead of just drive and drop now I have so much more in my arsenal. I can control shots far more than I ever could! Other paddles are mostly power or control with “control” really meaning now power. That’s not the case with the CRBN Trufoam!! Total control AND power. Fantastic paddle that behaves like a tennis racket (ie - spin and speed are proportional to how hard or soft you strike the ball. I don’t know that I really need to keep buying paddles. To me, I have found the holy grail. I can’t imagine a paddle I like better or is more fun to play with.

My New MainI've played with several dozen paddles and this is by far the best fit for me. Is it the most powerful? No, and I don't want it to be, but I can get good pace with a full swing. Does it have tons of pop? No, but that means I can reset and drop reliably without popping the ball up, and still can maintain hands battles. However, what this paddle does exceptionally well, better than any paddle I've played with, is shape the ball. The dwell time is fantastic and I get tons of topspin and arc to the ball, making my drive-drops deadly and giving me confidence that I know where the ball is going when I hit it. Fantastic work, Carbon, I never thought I'd pay so much for a paddle but finally a paddle that is worth the high price tag.
