Surprised!I'm a tennis ball snob. I really dislike Penn and their recent quality. Been a big supporter of Wilson US Open for a while and have enjoyed the Tecnifibre Court ball lately. But these AO balls are AMAZING! Love that they play like the Court and US Open ball but a little "softer." Still fast and bouncy but man, these are something else.

Perfect for hardcourt, top spin, dropshotI love these balls, I tried every brand and type and I have settled for these. They are great right out the can, great responsiveness and bounce, you can play several hours and they keep their quality, I find them wonderful to hit, I can apply great drop spin and they respond reactive-ly well to drop shots.

These balls are NOT GOODI just compared this ball to Dunlop Grand Prix (Both straight out of the can). And this one is way worse. Significantly lower bounce, worse sound, even looks smaller. I am shocked to see two new balls can play so differently. Especially if they’re regulation. If this is the ball they are using at the Australian Open, maybe players are right that the balls on pros are getting worse.

Good solid durable long lasting balls. These are excellent balls in my opinion. They feel a bit heavier, like Wilson US Open balls. The covers are durable, and the balls hold up well during play and for several practice sessions after.

Fuzzy tennis balls. As I get older I tend to use more cuts and spins in my ground strokes and my serves. The felt on these balls lasts for three hard sets and they work very well as practice balls later on. I’m 76 years old and I play four days a week.

Love these ballsSecond only to the Wilson US Open balls and not by much. They get fuzzy but the bounce and response is incredible.

Fluffy BallsI am doing my own review on tennis Balls and these fluffed up after 15 minutes of rally between two USTA 4.0 players, on hard courts in Southern California which hasn't been resurfaced in 5 years. After 1 hour and 45 minutes these balls were almost dead compared to old Pro Penn Tour that I had in my bag.

Durable and good playabilityGreat choice for hard courts. Last well over 2 hours of heavy play. Still good as warm-up /practice balls after. Predictable bounce and good feel on the racquet. So much better than any of the Penn options. Comparable to the Wilson US Open Balls.

Consistent durable premium ballGreat premium consistent balls for hard courts. They fluff up a bit after about 30 minutes of hitting and stay “fluff” for about 30 minutes. I like this as play with semi-western grip with lots of top spin. They last for a full match no problem. 3 hours of match play perfectly fine. Then I keep them in a pressurized cans and use for another 2 hour hitting session. The weight is perfect (feels on a heavier side). I am a 4.5 player. Don’t go for Championship Dunlop ball if you play matches as they are super bouncy, fast and not consistent.

Best ballsBest balls for coaching that will last you at least 2 1/2 to 3 months. Coach 8+ hrs a day and students enjoy the play ability of the ball.

Simply the best I am a pretty serious tennis player. I play for college and practice with the team/buddies for 3-4 times a weeks with 2 hour sessions. These are just simply the best. I have used Wilson US Open, Penn XD, and Wilson trinity....DUNLOP AO is just simply BETTER. 2 cans last me about 12 hours of hitting. Super impressed!! HIGHLY recommend! They are a little pricier, BUT you get the highest quality.

Best tennis ballsWe tried all of them but the Dunlop Australian Open extra duty balls are the best for our hard courts and high humidity conditions.

New favoriteThese are my new favorite balls. They feel very light and responsive. The guys I play with really like them too. They remind me of the old "A Player" Dunlops. If you like a lively and responsive ball these are worth a try. They cost a little more than I usually spend, but for me they are worth it. Really nice feel and feel a little less jarring on impact than most other balls.

true bounceI teach lessons part time and put a few cans of these in the hopper. My initial review is that they are very bright and bounce true. (we've had a problem lately with some Penn balls being out of round) Only complaint is that they bounce a little lower than most new balls. They have only been used for a couple weeks so we'll see how they hold up.

Great bounce and feelThese balls play well on fast, hard courts. True bounce and feel. They don't last as long as I'd have hoped, but can get a solid 3 hours of play out of them.

DaveThese are the best X-duty balls on the market period. Plays similar to Wilson Xduty but retains its felt longer for more consistent playability. It's easier on the arms because of the felt stays on the ball longer. Slightly less lively compared to some balls and doesn't bounce as high, which can be good or bad but for the most players, it'll be negligible for the trade off of consistency.

Great ball with consistency from can to canBought a case last year (2021) and these are great balls. Good bounce, feel, etc. agree the felt does fluff up quickly, but it doesn't bother me. The key to me is every can is consistent, all balls bounce and feel the same. I stopped using Wilson US Open balls and ProPenn Marathons for this reason. I've also compared these balls to the Dunlop ATP ball (the one with the ATP logo on them) and the Championship balls. Honestly, I couldn't tell the difference between these and the ATP ball.

Comments: These are comparable to Wilson US Open Extra duty in playability, but the felt seems to last a bit longer. Slightly less lively compared to Wilson, but maintains its character until its unplayable. Dunlop's other balls are not nearly the same quality.

Comments: I bought a case of these and they play nice at first, but then fluff up a lot very quickly which slows them down. However, they bite the strings better after they fluff up for more spin. Compared to Penn Championship, which doesn't loosen the felt at all, seems to slide across the strings making it harder to generate spin.

Comments: These balls are great out of the can and still good for practice days later. They keep their bounce, with a nice cushiony feel off the strings. Longevity far superior to Wilson US Open.

Comments: Tried a can the other day. Everyone in our doubles match really enjoyed these balls. I usually play with Penn ATP's, but lately they seem a little flat, especially in the cooler air. These new AO Dunlops are ready to play right out of the can. Very player friendly, solid, yet not overly hard feel. I will be buying a case at the sale price, which makes a can $3.75. Great value!
