Updated with a new mold for 2024, this 105 square-inch racquet combines plush comfort with easy power and spin-friendly precision

Dunlop makes big changes to the CX 200 OS for 2024 while keeping the user-friendly playability and great feel of the previous generation. Boasting a forgiving 105 square inch head and open 16x19 string pattern the CX 200 OS combines arm-friendly comfort and easy power with spin-friendly precision. It also packs a 21.5 mm box beam, giving it impressive control and feel compared to its competitors. Weighing roughly 10.9 ounces strung, the CX 200 OS is weighted for rising intermediates, but it also packs a near 320 RDC swingweight, making it attractive to more advanced ball strikers, especially if they crave the advantages of a larger head size with a big spin window. For this update, Dunlop retools the beam, adding more of a box shape below the 10/2 axis to enhance stability, control and feel. Additional changes for 2024 include Powergrid Stringtech+, which features wider cross-string spacing to enhance spin and power. Dunlop also updates the stiffness profile, adding greater flexibility on the inner part of the frame for enhanced dwell time and pocketing, while also stiffening the racquet's face for added stability and power. To help reduce harsh impact vibrations, Dunlop adds a highly elastic material (named Vibroshield) to the midsection of both the hoop and shaft. This is complemented by Sonic Core with Infinergy a uniquely pliable material applied to the 3/9 axis of the head to boost comfort and power. Ultimately, with some nice updates to the feel and response, this racquet remains a great option for the intermediate player who wants a more forgiving and powerful midplus racquet.

wilson clash 100v3 vs dunlop cx 200os vs prini've been demo'ing these 3 racquets - just groundstrokes and serves so far, and have some observations. background: i'm a 77yo 3.0+ player with some arm sensitivity. although these racquets are within a 9gram range for strung weight, they are quite different. The dunlop does the work for you. one of the tw reviewers said that when she did her usual full cuts she had trouble with control, but when she dialed herself back the setup worked better. that was my experience too. this has the highest swingweight of the 3, and is 3 points hl, compared to the other 2 both being 7hl. comparing them back to back the swingweight and relative head heaviness was quite noticeable. with the dunlop you worked to get the racquet moving, but then needed to let it do the rest itself, with your guidance but without further effort. it was as if you were throwing the racquet at the ball. as an aside, i spent a few minutes with the clash 100pro v3 and the clash 108v3. the pro is noticeably heavier, and slightly stiffer. not for me, but i'm sure for some. the 108 is only 1pt hl to make up for its lighter weight. i found it hard to control, with the ball trampolining all over the place.

Improved from prior versionThis is a comfortable racquet with a large sweet spot and adequate power in light of its RA number. I didn't feel it excelled in any one area, and serving felt a little awkward with its large head and not-large length. Stability out of the box or with six grams added to the hoop was not great. Someone looking at this frame would do himself a favor by also looking at the Wilson Blade 104 V9.

Volley beastI switched from the previous 2021 version and what a difference! I believe Dunlop nailed the new 2024 model. The OS version is a volley beast with great control, feel and power! Baseline hitting is very nice, powerful and the spin is much improved with the spaced out cross string pattern.
