Comfort and weight (half of leather grip)After trying more than 10+ different replacement grips this has become my grip of choice, especially while playing with customization of racquets (note: I have written reviews for a handful in their respective product pages).
Pros:
* It includes shock absorbing gel but not an excessive amount and not the "blue" kind (it's white), it's not bulky and doesn't contort weirdly when applying the grip (like the Wilson Shock Shield for example). It's perfect for making stiff racquets more comfortable to use.
* It's perforated and has "holes" and "ribs" so it helps with the grip and feel.
* It feels sturdy and solid, and it's slightly on the thicker side. The thickness is not mentioned on the package but it's around 2.0mm. This could help adds some 1-2 extra mm to a grip that is/feels smaller than usual (e.g. Tecnifibre rackets).
* It adds 5-6 grams of weight to the handle of the racket. This is perfect for racket customization, you get half of the effect of a leather grip, with the additional benefits listed above (vs the harsher/stiffer feel of a leather grip).
Cons:
* It' not tacky and you will need an overgrip on top. Because it's a bit on the thicker side consider a thin one such as Babolat VS Original (0.43mm vs the normal 0.6mm thickness of most overgrips).
All in all a very solid replacement grip offering by Gamma.
Most balanced zorbicon gel grip optionI went on a rampage recently trying to find a good comfortable replacement grip to alleviate some wrist pain from my Pure Aeros.
I've tried them all; from the thick synthetic ones such as Prince ResiSoft 2.2mm, Head HydroSorb Comfort 2.1mm, Volkl Pro-Tac (~2.0mm), Diadem Comfort Max 2.0mm, to the ones using gel components (zorbicon or otherwise) such as Gamma Hi-Tech Gel (~2.0mm), Gamma Hi-Tech Gel Contour (~2.5mm), Babolat Xcel Gel 2.6mm, Diadem Comfort Max 2.3mm, Wilson Shock Shield Hybrid (2.0mm), etc - see my individual reviews for those items as well btw.
First of all, I found the non-gel ones mentioned above not very helpful. They just made the grip a bit bigger and fluffier, but they slowly get squeezed and become smaller over time, and without the gel component the comfort wasn't that great in the end. So I turned my attention to the offerings with zorbicon gel specifically. All of the replacement grips listed above had pros and cons and some were better than others. But in the end I found this gamma replacement grip to be the most balanced option. It doesn't have the blue zorbicon gel but it has a thinner layer of a white colored gel (the package still says zorbicon) instead. This makes it not as heavy as the other ones - usually the blue zorbicon ones add ~10 grams of weight to the handle, but this one adds half of that or less. Also, it doesn't increase the size of the racket abnormally (like the Contour version does). The comfort level is similar to the others with the blue gel. And it still has tackiness and small contours that make the grip easier than the normal ones. Give it a try.
Love Gamma Hi Tech Gel Grip BlackBecause I have a one-handed backhand this gel grip is perfect for me. Because of the gel inserts, it creates ribs so I don't have to guess (or look) how much to move my hand on the grip when I need to change grips to hit a backhand. Plus, it actually just feels good. So, it feels good and it's extremely functional. Love it! I use a Gamma overgrip over the gel grip for protection of the gel grip. The replacement grip fits perfectly over the ribs.

Comments: Great grip, but the price increased from $4.95 to $7.95. That is $3.00 more, which is 62 per cent increase. A little much.

Comments: This grip has the weight/dampening of a leather grip and the grooves create a nice contour. It's a bit thick and weighs about 23-24 grams. Perfect if you want a hand filling a contour grip with dampening, which is what I wanted.

Comments: This grip has a dry feel, not so tacky but tacky enough, and you really feel the grooves, which I personally don't like. It feels as if I have less control or feeling because of these grooves. This grip is also relatively thick, so keep that in mind when you want to buy it.

Comments: I've been putting this OVER the stock grip on all my rackets for the past 10 years, or so (wish I did this in high school 20 years ago), and love it. This grip feels good, stays tacky, and lasts a long time (at least on the California central coast where humidity is almost never an issue).

Comments: I play with a Babolat pure drive team oversize strung at 62lbs with gamma synthetic gut and gamma polyester strings. I hit a heavy topspin forehand, a two-handed backhand, also slice a lot on my backhand. I play on a middle school team and during the season we have 3 to 4 matches every week and practice every day that there isn't a match. I bought this grip because I was tired of changing my tourna grip over grip after 2 days of playing. I think that the gel is great because it doesn't leave blisters on my hand like my stock Babolat grip with tourna grip on it did. My only complaint is that after playing when it is humid or when my hand sweats a lot the grip absorbs it but also loses its "tackiness" for some time because of the moisture.

Comments: I have not used the gel contour grip, but this gel grip seems to fit in the contour category as well. It has huge grooves. It feels good on the serve for confidence in holding the racquet without it slipping out, but that's about it. It does not feel good to me on the volleys because of the large grooves. Switching from say a backhand to a forehand grip is the problem.
