Head delivers a dangerous combination of spin, power and precision to aggressive players

Formerly called the Extreme Tour, the Extreme Pro 2024 puts the power, spin and speed of the Extreme series into a surgical 98 square-inch head. The result is a racquet that gives you greater command over the ball when turning up the heat. For 2024, Head adds Auxetic 2 to the layup, a uniquely flexible material in the yoke and handle to optimize the racquet's feel and response. The Extreme Pro also benefits from Graphene 360+ (labeled Graphene Inside), strengthening the frame in key locations to provide a more powerful and stable hitting experience. Additional technologies include Spin Grommets, which enable greater string movement for increased snapback, and a Spin Shaft, which increases torsional stability to better complement topspin mechanics. Ultimately, with incremental tweaks to the feel, the Extreme Pro continues to be a great option for aggressive ball strikers who crave spin, power, and precision.

Exactly what I was looking for in a switchWas looking to switch from my Blade v8 18x20 and as you can guess the biggest feature I was looking for was spin and the Extreme Pro has amble access to spin. Granted coming from a dense pattern to an open one will naturally make the spin stand out but from other racquets I've demoed the Extreme is the best "spin" centric model on the market. The Extreme feels very easy to swing and play with despite the bumped up weight. Despite this being spin focused, I felt the Extreme takes well to when I want to flatten out my shots and if anything is now giving me just a little more lift and net clearance for me to now hit those flat or sharp angle shots with more consistency and confidence. I also really love the maneuverability, it's great at the net amplifying quick reactions but also I feel confident hugging the baseline being able to get around on deep, penetrating shots. The biggest knock I will say for this is the stability - in stock form. When originally using it in stock the lack of stability was an issue hitting against heavy, penetrative shots - sure I could get the racquet around in time but I would often find myself getting overpowered and hitting weak balls back. But just a tad bit of customization by adding some lead tape at the bottom of the hoop really cleaned up that issue and gave the racquet ample stability without losing any noticeable maneuverability. Sure the balance is changed and doesn't have that same natural whippy feeling but a fair trade off for me as it still feels plenty maneuverable. I'm sure adding weight to the top of the hoop would restore the balance - tbd if I want to keep customizing.

Best spin racquetI tried quite a few racquets before coming to head extreme pro. So far the best for spin out of radical, extreme mp, gravity and speed. Very good balance and a lot of spin on your slices to trouble your opponent. Really happy that finally found the racquet which suits my game. Really good punch when strung at lower tension but with very good control!

Fantastic Racquet!Comparing the Extreme Pro to the Pro Staff 97 V14. The Extreme Pro offers more power, more spin, about the same amount of control and is much more comfortable. It's everything I've been looking for in a racquet as I'm not getting any younger. I hit the Extreme Pro alongside the PA98 for a couple of hours. They were very close in every category. Power, spin and control were pretty much identical imo. But the Extreme Pro was much nicer to hit with. It was so much more comfortable than the PA98. It made the the PA98 feel like a cheap plastic tennis racquet. I'm making the switch to the Extreme Pro from the V14 and really looking forward to playing competitive tennis again. This racquet is flying under the radar. It has to be the most underrated racquet on the market. If you're looking for an arm-friendly modern day player's frame that offers great power, spin, control and comfort... this is it.

Powerful, lacking controlI just demoed this racquet. In stock form it lacks control on groundstrokes for flat hitters. For serves it’s ok though

Very good racquetA nice update from the Extreme Tour. The racquet feels soft, with a lot of spin/effects and whippy (very). The racquet has some control issues, but nothing that you can't improve with a small string adjustment. This is a good platform racquet. I'm playing with lead at 12 and silicone in the handle and I like it a lot. Nothing is better for me now.

Good platform racquetI wasn’t crazy about this in stock form and I didn't think the feel was as good as the previous two incarnations. However, I discovered after adding lead at 3-9 and 12 the racquet became a monster. Tremendous plow through but the stability is still a little sketchy.

Major upgrade over the Tour. This feels so much more substantial than the outgoing Extreme Tour that needed lead tape to add power and stability. This one is much easier to use out off the shelf and plays great at retail spec. Also it's extremely comfortable for a 64 RA frame, which is another bonus for people that have sensitive arms.

DisappointingThis doesn’t feel as stable as the two prior versions and the swing weight is off. Lacks power and stability. Unfortunately, the racquet doesn’t play as great as it looks.

Love it!I love this racquet so much! I switched from the Wilson Blade V8 to this racquet because I was looking to add more spin to my ball. I was pleasantly surprised with this racquet. Auxetic 2 really works in this model in particular as well. This racquet has a ton of spin while still having a good amount of stability and feel. The power is exceptional also! Overall a great racquet from Head.

Best RacquetI switched from a Speed to this and I like it much better — I had a lot of elbow issues with the Speed, but this one seems to have resolved those problems for me! I also like how bright the color is.
