Customer Reviews
New Balance WC 806 W D Women's ShoesI’m really comfortable in these court shoes. The wide toe box is great because I have custom orthotics and ASO ankle braces. My podiatrist actually recommended them to me and he also played tennis.

Great fit for wide feetLove this tennis shoe. It is very comfortable for wide feet and offers great support.
Not up to standardNew Balance is my preferred athletic shoe for quality and comfort, so I purchased these. However, this shoe is not up to my expectations and previous experience. The toe box and body is unusually small. I wear a women's size 9 US but the shoe feels like a size 8.
Best tennis shoe for stability, etc.I first got these when suffering from plantar and they were recommended. Thank goodness NB keeps making them as I'm nervous about trying any others.
Great shoes for wide feetThese shoes offer good support for bad feet. No break in needed. Could be more stylish, but not important to me.
A winnerA heavy, stiff shoe and the wrong size for me. However, except for the wrong size, I like the look and feel of this shoe. Try it on and have fun!
For Narrow FeetThe only shoes I've found that truly fit my AA width feet, and they give me great support.
Disappointed with second pairLoved my first pair. Great support and traction playing outdoors. Just purchased a new pair and they aren't the same as my 2-year old pair. Totally different fit. Narrow and stiff.
NarrowI love a narrow shoe. Keeps my foot in place instead of sliding throughout. The leather keeps the clay out as well. Had my last pair for years.
806 for PickleballThese are pretty stiff but supportive on the court which is their purpose. Not the most comfortable shoe so I'm not giving 5 stars. I've worn them for a few weeks playing and they haven't broken in so I'm guessing they will remain like this. If you want a firm stiff shoe with great support this is it.

Comments: If you're one of the people (as I am) who needs a very "stable" (ie, not very flexible) shoe, this is it. Nice large toe box. Accomodates orthotics well.

Comments: I have worn the 806s for about 2 years now. While I don't think these shoes rank high in terms of being stylish, I am very pleased with the performance and support of the these shoes. Fast on the court and corrected the hip pain I was experiencing with other shoes that had less support.

Comments: The sole came apart on my latest pair, just after the one year warranty period. A friend said the same thing happened to hers.

Comments: I have worn New Balance running shoes and tennis shoes in an 8.5, 2A for about 20 years. This is the first pair I've gotten that runs short in length.

Comments: I like New Balance and have been wearing them for a long time. But I do not like this model. Disappointed in this one because there was not enough flex in the shoe and it was not as comfortable as other models. Not worth the price. If I am going to spend the money, I will pick another model or brand.

Comments: Playing tennis, even walking in my new 806s is like wearing ridged shoeboxes on my feet. The shoes are so stiff, inflexible and hard. They are in no way like my old worn out 804s, so I'm frustrated with that! Very expensive mistake!

Comments: If you have truly narrow feet, the AA width in the New Balance 806 will not be narrow enough for you.

Comments: Terrible shoes. Way too flat. No arch support. The New Balance WC804 were so much better for support.

Comments: Not pleased with the support. I have a narrow foot and not enough support from this shoe.
From: Sheila, 2/14
Comments: Very disappointed. Hard to believe this is the 804 replacement. No mid-foot support. Seems to be an missing an additional shoe lace holes at top of shoe. Very strange.

Comments: I just loved the New Balance 804s. I wear full sports orthotics and they fit great. Purchased the 806 as the 804 is no longer available. Very disappointed in these. I find the side to side stability very poor. I have rolled my ankle a few times and do not feel very secure. Returned them for a different size and still have the same issue. Not sure what shoe to try.
