Cushy midsole, and speedy design; a more stable and supportive option in the Vapor family.

The lineage of the Nike Vapor carries on, and is back better than ever with the Nike Zoom Vapor 11! This evolution of the Vapor blends the perfect balance of feeling low and connected to the court, while also providing a significant amount of cushioning underfoot, to help provide the comfort for those long grinding matches. Compared to the Vapor Pro 2, this Vapor 11 feels a bit more stable due to the molded sidewall, allowing for more aggressive cuts and push-offs. A forefoot Zoom Air unit helps to spring you forward, while a breathable upper helps to keep you cool for the long matches. A data-informed outsole supplies a nice blend of grip and give, and is built to withstand the force of sliding.

  • Upper: Breathable and durable mesh upper material provides support, durability, and ventilation. Inner layer for extra support where needed, and outer provides a thin overlay to help with durability. Half inner sleeve for easy on and off.
  • Midsole: Zoom Air unit for comfort, and added spring into your step. Molded sidewall to enhance lateral support and stability.
  • Outsole: A data-informed outsole supplies a nice blend of grip and give, and is built to withstand the force of sliding. Thicker tread in high-wear zones for added durability.
  • Color: White / Black

Their own GenreFrom the beginning, trying to put the Vapor 11's in the Vapor community has been thwart with contradictions. Like its prior predecessor, the Vapor 12 is a return to a low to the ground, light, fast feeling game day shoe. The Vapor 11, is not that. And in being its own thing, it has carved out a niche fan base out there. It's a heavier shoe; it's made for stability, it's clunky. But it's also comfortable; it owns its stability; and it provides a level of cushioning not seen in the 9.5/X's. Gripes out of the way first. It is heavy, and clunky; you will notice that. It is tough for breathability. The latter is my biggest issue. I have likened it to the feel of duck boots. To the benefits, like a good duck boot, it feels wonderful in the upper. Many fans say that once the TPU breaks in it feels like a dream. I didn't have any break in issues. It is stable and cushioned. Transitioning from the 9.5's my bulky frame felt less impact after a match in these. Although, heavier, the set up of the cushioning and the zoom unit make it competitive on the court. I have had no issues with running down short balls. I didn't mention the lock down, because I use sports inserts that adapt very well to the shoe, leaving me with little slippage. And although, I've not worn mine for too long, I've noticed very little wear (as others have mentioned). I believe from what I've heard, the Vapor 12 is the more apt successor to the Vapor lineage. But if Nike chose to offer an update to the 11 in the future that shaved a little weight, (under a different name), I think it would capture an audience of the Cage and GP Turbo crowd looking for comfort and stability, while keeping its niche audience.

DisappointedGreat looking shoe. Not for playing but good for teaching. Too bulky n heavy. It won't allow me to be quick on my feet.

One of my favoritesOne of my favorite tennis shoes. The best notes are the energy return and the durability this shoe offers. One of the most springy shoes I’ve worn because of the air unit in the fore foot. Takes a little bit to like how tall they are, but I ended up liking the high ride height. Bad notes: after a while of wearing them the support ran out and started to consistently cause blisters on my feet, specifically in pickleball. No matter what I did, I could not tighten the laces enough to lock my forefoot area down enough to stop it. The support wore out before the outsole.

BEST SHOES EVERI've been going around using tons of shoes from ASICS Court FF 3s all the way to adidas Barricades and these are my current favorite. There was almost zero break in time, it felt comfortable from the start. If you have wide/wider feet I'd recommend going half size up for a more roomy fit and comfort. Great for sliding, wide lunges, and durable. 10/10 would recommend!

Almost perfect for meCertainly not the same type of shoe the Vapor line has been known for in the past, but I actually love this one too. Simple fit, super comfortable upper. Stable and supportive midsole. Love the Zoom Air unit in the forefoot, but I also miss it in the heel. If the shoe had both it would be perfect for me. I personally like a softer fitting shoe that is fast and low to the ground, which is why I loved the Vapor since the days of RF. This version is not as fast around the court but the trade off is added support, which is fine for me. I thought the super thin tongue would be an issue but I experienced no lace bite whatsoever. Keep in mind that I like a relaxed fit so I am not one to crank on the laces. I have a rather wide foot and the soft toe box wraps comfortably around it. No break-in period for me, these felt good to go straight out of the box.

Good shoe, tip needs more Im a heavy slider on hard courts, works well for that. Need more hard material around the tip toe area, its ripping a little.

NO GOOD, rolled ankles - Last version betterEvery time Nike creates a shoe that I love they follow up by ruining the next one. I’m an advanced player and had loved the ability to plant on the stretch with the older version of this shoe. They were amazing and I wish I bought 10 pairs. With this new Vapor, I’ve already rolled my ankles several times. They are comfortable to walk in but feel like playing in high heels. For advanced players that slide and need to trust their hard movement on their feet, these are a risky shoe. The top does not have hard covering either so I’m already ripping through the material. They should really bring back the last version.

Best Nike Tennis Shoe in Last 3 YearsThis is the best Nike tennis shoes in the last 3 years since the Nike Zoom Vapor line of the last decade started to change (go downhill). These are not as good as the Nike Zoom Vapor 9, 9.5, X, etc. though come way closer than any shoe of the last few years. The stability is way better (no fear of rolling an ankle) and the comfort is great. The front toe of the shoe is almost a cloth material and wears way too easily after a few wears. And the biggest knock; I am one full size smaller in this than the Nike Zoom Vapors of the last 10 years. 11.5 in those and 10.5 in theses. Unfortunate as I've now purchased 3 pairs of the same shoes in different sizes (spending nearly $500) to get the right fit.
