ON enters the high performance tennis footwear market with the ON The Roger Pro, a design influenced by Roger Federer himself! These shoes are built for the player who can hit all the shots and embodies nimble, balanced movement on the court. Already known for its comfortable yet responsive cushioning with its running shoes, ON carries that over into these premium court shoes, while also focusing on making them very supportive and stable. A unique design feature is the 100% carbon fiber Speedboard located in the mid-foot shank region, which gives explosive energy return and also creates a more stable ride. The upper features Engineered Mesh for enhanced breathability and a supportive fit, while the outsole rubber supplies a blend of durability, traction and tread catered to those who slide on the gritty hard courts.

No supportThis shoe feels like you’re walking on plywood. There is no cushion, comfort, or support. For the price, I expected a much better quality shoe. Had to return.
Worth to go for it, for now.Honestly I love and believe the original is better; but it’s not practical due to pricey and lack of durability. Thus I would go for the previous version of Solution Speed FF 2 for training. Use Roger Pro just to celebrate some occasions.
I bought this version 2 six months ago. It’s as hard as the version one but much more narrower. But it’s easier to tie up. I found the performance is unbeatable and I don’t have to worry about replace just after 6 hours of use.
It’s not a comfortable shoe but it’s reliable and makes anyone run smoothly on court. Looking around, all latest version of shoes had cut materials here and there but this one isn’t. Every place is adequate with generous amount of material. It is expensive but it didn’t cut corners. I can’t use Solution Speed FF 3 due narrower upper and various parts of changes. The more you roll back of generations from any brand, it’s more solid build the longer you look back. So, for now, it’s a better shoes on the market.

I purchased them for my son, a junior pro player, as an alternative to the Yonex Eclipsion shoes he’s been wearing consistently for the past two years. While these shoes are undeniably eye-catching and made with high-quality materials, their performance was disappointing.
On court, they felt clunky, overly stiff, and restrictive. They’re quite heavy and make lateral movement and forward running difficult due to their lack of flexibility. The carbon plate seems excessively rigid, preventing natural foot movement.
Despite giving them a fair chance, my son ultimately refused to wear them—they simply didn’t improve with time or break in.
These shoes might work better for recreational players who prioritize looks over performance, but they’re not ideal for serious competitive play.
Great tennis shoe so far!My daughter plays a lot of tennis and is finding her first pair of The Roger Pro very comfortable and allows for good performance. She goes through shoes very quickly so we’ll see how long they last to determine if these are her new go-to tennis shoes.

Perhaps an encore for the vapor 9This shoe is reminiscent of the Nike Vapor 9. The design is entirely Federer at his prime. As a high level player 5.5 NTRP rating and former college player I can attest that these shoes are amazing for footwork, sprinting, and staying low to the ground. Your average player will not enjoy the lack of comfort level simply because they don’t work hard or move their feet. I teach tennis 40 hours a week in these and enjoy their comfort and low profile.

Roger ProThe Roger Pro is a very wide shoe so either buy half a size down in men's, or buy a size to a size and a half up in women's. I chose to go a size and a half size up in women's and it fits perfect. I have narrow feet, so it fit better. The performance is phenomenal! Great performance does come with a sacrifice and that is comfort. It is hard on the feet. Know what you're looking for. If you want peak performance, the stiffness actually gives you a high energy return and will make you feel quicker. If you want more comfort, opt for the Roger Pro 2.

No durability, lack of cushion in sole.Comfortable shoes compared to ASICS and adidas but the durability is one of the worst for the bottom. The marks were easily worn out, which was very sad to see when I don’t even slide. For a $200 pair of shoes, this wasn’t what I would expect. Hope they improve this right away.
Good support, lacks comfort, too expensiveLow to ground feel with good support. But for me, this show lacks the cushioning to make it through an hour on the hard courts without foot soreness. At $199 the cost-benefit ratio is poor.
Wore through in less than three monthsThese are easily the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. However, they completely wore through in a little over two months. Considering this along with the price point, I won't be purchasing them again. If ON addressed this, I'd possibly reconsider.
Great look, but wear thick socks...I like these shoes and have been using them exclusively on indoor hard courts.
Pros: They look great and they provide very solid support via the upper and paving system. I find them very responsive and I move around the court well.
Cons: They sometimes hurt the balls of my feet. They start to get sore 30 minutes in and by 45 I can’t wait to get these off. I started to wear an extra cushioned sock and that has helped but I wish I would have gone a half size up.
I’ll wear these out but wouldn’t recommend or purchase again.
Great for Wide Feet!I have wide feet 2E and nothing fits as comfortably as these shoes. I haven’t observed issues with durability as others have mentioned but I’m also currently averaging a few hours a week of use. I wish the price were a bit lower but unless I find another light, low to the ground, feeling shoe that accommodates wide feet this is my go to tennis shoe.
Great look, bad durabilityThese shoes are very comfortable and feel very connected to the court. However, after only 4-5 weeks of consistent 8-10 hours on court, a hole developed on the sole. That would be fine if these shoes were not $200.
I'll be returning to my less stylish, though awesome-in-every-other-way Asics Solution Speeds.
ballet slippers for tennisFeel like I'm fleet afoot and agile, even though I'm not.
Good shoe for a month - NOT durableWhen you buy the shoes they perform great for the first couple of sessions but everything falls apart after that. I used them for a month and a mini hole open on the outsole. After two months, there is a huge opening on the outsole and the shoe doesn't feel responsive anymore. I am a USTA 4.0 player who doesn't even slide on the court. I am very disappointed with the durability of this $200 shoe.
Do not buy this shoe if you're expecting to use it for more than 1 month.
Pirellis of ShoesSimilar feel and support as the older Nike Vapor Zoom 9.5s, with no durability. Playing roughly 1-2 a week, I ran through the sole to the inner liner in less than 2 months on the toe (I drag the tip on the serve). Great overall shoe otherwise but the lack of durability guarantee is a deal breaker.
Great Shoe - But NOT DurableSon absolutely loved the shoe. Looked good, and performed well. His favorite shoe so far.
However, the shoes were worn through on the soles (both toes and one heel), and all the way through the mesh uppers in less than 3 weeks of use. Son is about 140 pounds. Granted that was daily use, but still not what you're wanting with a premium price like these.
Great looking shoes, but no cushioningI was very excited to try this shoe, as I think it is one of the, if not the best looking tennis shoes on the market! The shoe offers great stability, but no cushioning. I hope on future generations of this shoe they improve the cushioning, but for now it is almost as if you are playing with your bare feet on the ground. If with wearing the thin let Thorlo sock, it doesn't do much to help with cushioning. They are very hard shoes. If you are a very light person, that might not matter as much, but I would not recommend them for many people. I will wear them to and from the courts and around, but will not play in them anymore.
Most connected shoe!!These shoe feels so light with amazing lateral stability. I feel a lot more connected to the ground. Yes they are not as durable as Asics FF or gel-resolution, but they feel and play much better.
There is something about the sole on this shoe that just works for me.
I expect to go through 2-3 pairs a year, but worth it!

Zero DurabilityOrdered these shoes for me, and one of my students got himself a pair. Each pair wore through the outsole in 4 weeks flat.

Best Tennis ShoesWhat's with all the negative reviews about this shoe? These are the best pair I have ever had. They had comfort, and let me move around the court with ease. As a reminder before you purchase these, that you need to have a flat foot to enjoy because these shoes were made with the mold of Federer's feet (as he is flat footed).
The ON shoeThey are incomparably comfortable. Soft, light and fast. I question the durability of the outsole but so far so good. Can’t wait for new hard court color ways.
Probably the worst tennis shoe I've tried!I was truly excited to get my hands on this shoe but unfortunately, this is probably the most uncomfortable tennis shoe I have ever tried. My feet is not necessarily wide but not narrow either and this show causes a terrible pain on the outside of my feet due to a hard plastic section right around your pinky. I tried to play couple matches to see if it would soften but it hasn't changed and the pain is really bad. Overall, just really disappointed with the shoe.
I really, really hate these shoes......which is very disappointing because my ON running shoes are the best running shoes I've ever had! Unfortunately, these shoes feel like bricks with very little support either under the foot or on the side of the foot.
Six hoursLove the shoes, especially the wide toe box that is made for humans. I have no idea who can fit in the other shoes on the market that squeeze your foot into the shape of a burrito. The shoe is stable, fast, elegant… One problem: who can afford to buy a new pair of shoes every two weeks? Yea… I wore through the outsoles of both shoes in two weeks. I didn’t even play that much. Maybe six hours? That’s wild. But if you’re wealthy, just buy a couple dozen pairs and change shoes every time you restring your racquet.
The GOAT in tennis but not in shoesFed is my favorite player and wanted to try his shoes out. It was an utter disappointment to say the least. First it's way overpriced for a tennis shoe. $200 is unacceptable. Secondly the fit and feel is terrible. It's not durable and the shoe is heavy on court and doesn't move well on court. They run wide and for a regular sized foot it feels like its disconnected to my feet. Would not recommend this shoe until they go back into the lab and revise this. Terrible.
Well constructedThe shoes are noticeably well constructed as compared to other brands. Great support. Typical of players shoes the sole does wear out relatively fast.

On Roger ProThese shoes do run wide and are more suitable for players with wider feet. I have medium width feet and I have had to wear thicker socks or wear two pairs of socks to compensate. They are comfortable otherwise on hard courts.
