Support, stability, and comfort. Mesh in the upper adds comfort and ventilation.

Taking the stability and comfort that Prince is known for, the Prince Venom provides the supportive fit and responsive court feel that aggressive movers will appreciate. Cushioning in the heel helps to absorb shock, while a lower to the court ride in the forefoot helps you to feel connected, and ready to sprint for the next shot. Strategically placed TPU on the upper provides durability and drag protection, while the comfortable mesh allows for breathability and a plush feel. The lacing system provides an extra measure of support, helping to lock-in the foot, while Prince's durable rubber compound on the outsole provides durability for the gritty hard courts, and an ideal blend of grip and give.
  • Upper: TPU for durability and drag protection, mesh material provides comfortable support and ventilation.
  • Midsole: Full length EVA foam underfoot provides cushion, and a responsive quick feel. Thicker in the heel for shock absorption, and lower in the forefoot for a responsive feel, and stability.
  • Outsole: X-Light Endurance rubber compound formed into a wave design, for enhanced durability and traction on a variety of court surfaces.
  • Color: Black / Grey

Supportive, comfortable, pretty durableOn my my second pair. I play pickleball 2-3 times a week and these are comfortable, supportive and reasonably durable. My first pair lasted maybe 5 months. I'm a few months into my second pair now.

Solid shoeI switched after wearing T22 for years but got tired of the color options/styling. I don’t typically buy shoes for the look but currently liking the black shoes and socks look. Does not have the warranty but I get 5-6 months so not bad for the price. The fit feels the same as T22, except I did go a half size larger. I play 3 times a week on hard courts. I bought a second pair for occasional clay court use. I think the tread design works well for clay (but I have never bought a clay specific shoe so I can’t compare).

NiceAfter having a trial acquiring the proper size, I am happy to say, these are good shoes. Only played for a couple of hours but the fit is very good for side to side and quick forward movement and stops

Nice looking shoe. Terrible for pickleballThese shoes are very heavy and narrow. Wore them twice for pickleball, and my feet were sore and blistered. I ended up keeping the shoes only for business casual attire.

Good price, but bulky and awkward for tennisOrdered these shoes thinking they might be more streamlined and not so heavy and bulky as the Prince 22's (and even 22.5's); however, they felt super bulky and awkward. They are also pretty bland looking, and while style is subjective--I felt like these almost looked like orthotic shoes when I had them on my feet. Great price, though, and if you don't mind the bulk and style then I could see these being a good deal.

Great tennis shoes!I have been wearing adidas the past couple seasons. And tried these Prince shoes on a whim. And I definitely prefer these over the adidas. These shoes were a little stiff the very first time wearing them, but after an initial break-in, they are very nice.

Prince Venom Men’s shoeI just got them one month ago and they are falling apart. It was $59.00 so I knew quality would not be the best, but I didn’t expect it to look like I need to replace them already. They are comfortable and looked nice originally so I took a chance. I had a Prince racquet for a long time that I liked a lot so I thought I would try the shoes.

Nice blend of stability and responsiveness...After wearing every single model of the Babolat Propulse series over the years, I decided to roll the dice and give the Venoms a try. What I appreciated most about those early Propulse iterations was the lower arch and court-connected feeling that I found whenever I had to stop on a dime, quickly change directions, or unexpectedly sprint forward. As the line evolved, the arch got higher, too much additional padding was added to the forefoot, and the weight became unmanageable. This Venom model strikes a very nice balance of weight, stability, and responsiveness. I can comfortably feel the court, but there's still sufficient padding. I can throw my full body weight into a stop or slide, but I don't feel overly hindered by excessive stiff stability. The treads are holding up very well, and the laces are without wear and tear. I highly recommend this Prince model for anyone with slightly lower arches who's seeking a responsive stability shoe that still functions and feels like lightweight performance footwear.

Solid, long lasting, cushioningI’m writing this after having two pairs of these shoes. The first pair lasted 7 months (this was playing four times a week! And USTA tournaments) so they are durable - The only criticism is that I wish they were a bit more breathable.

More comfortable shoesOut of the box and ready to play. One of the most comfortable shoes I have tried in all my years playing tennis (my review is about the white and green ones only. The other ones do NOT feel the same).

THE VENOM fits regular and supernated feetAs an avid tennis player since college in 1980, I always have to buy Wilson Tennis shoes due to my high arches, 10 years ago I had to buy good feet store to buy arch inserts at $200 each foot. These shoes are from Prince and fit like a glove. I LOVE these Tennis shoes and highly recommend them I also receive compliments on how fleshly they look I've played 2 months with them and plan to buy another pair.

Good quality shoesI was part of the TW playtest. These Prince shoes should be held in quite high regard and graded rather highly across our tennis community. I visually examined these shoes quite carefully and I am impressed with each the design, and the quality of the craftsmanship, and the construction of this shoe. Very thoughtful as well a fashionable. I tested the Green, white, and black colorway. They have unique looking colorways and markings. I continue to get compliments about the look of these shoes. The narrowing heel contributed snug and comfortable fit for me. These shoes feel lightweight and feel quite comfortable right out of the box. They are designed for, and have a foot-shaped, glove-like fit as a result of the design. The entire play time of the test was done with the stock insoles. I don't believe that the flexibility, playability, or the comfort will be compromised in in any way by adding the use of stiffer, after-market insoles.

Prince VenomI was part of the TW Playtest. Describe your playing style (i.e. serve & volley): Aggressive baseliner, move forward to finish points. Extreme movement and defense. Current Shoe: Diadora Torneo 2 Hours Played w/ Prince Venom: 10 hours – 4 sets of doubles. The rest singles. Normal Size: 10.5 Playtest Size: 10.5 I felt the fit was pretty good. No plastic over the big toe knuckle area where shoes often cause me pain. Fairly wide fit – sufficient room for my wide-ish high arched feet. Shoe Performance: Comfort: Reasonable but insufficient underfoot cushion for the forefoot for me. They are comfortable and fit my foot well. The positives are the heel cushioning is excellent. The tongue is well padded and comfortable and as I mentioned the fit was quite good for my foot. The bad – insufficient cushioning under the ball of my feet and midsole for me. I felt it some playing doubles but really noticed it playing singles. So better than many shoes but not ideal for me. Perhaps an insole/orthotic would fix this, but I wanted to test in stock form as I do not usually wear any specialty insole or orthotic. I also normally either wear the thick Thorlos or 2 pairs of socks and could only wear 1 pair with these. Arch Support: Good. I had no issues with the arch support. Did not feel anything weird and only issue was under the ball of my feet but nothing near the arch. I will warn anyone who needs to use a runner’s knot to prevent heel slippage as I do (a good solution for high arches) – the included laces are very short and not long enough for a runners knot. I had to replace the laces Stability/Support: Excellent. I agree that the shoe had good stability and support. Lateral stability was excellent – and my foot felt secure and the shoe did not bend or twist at all. I will say, the shoes lack explosiveness and bounce. My first step – both laterally and forward-backwards felt sluggish in these shoes Ventilation: No issues. Was very hot and humid here in Key West for the play test and the shoes were unremarkable for ventilation – which is fine as if I do not notice an issue it means they are breathing fine. Sole durability: Hard to say after 10 hours but holding up so far. I see some initial wear in the same place that I always wear through my shoes front instep. Toe Durability: I am not an extreme toe dragger and had no issue. They are built up where they should be and as I mentioned, I like that there is no plastic or rubber over the part of my feet that often get irritated by shoes. Traction: Excellent. I felt the traction is excellent. I was not sure about the tread pattern but I felt good but not too much stick. I am not a slider on hard courts so cannot comment for that. Weight: Was surprised when I put them on the scale as they are actually slightly heavier than my Diadora Torneo. They feel lighter. Anyway, shoe weight is not a major issue for me – Speed shoes generally do not have enough cushion or support for me (and I destroy them too fast) – so I generally wear heavier shoes anyway. General reaction/comments on overall performance: I think this is a pretty good all around shoe at a good price. My two issues with the shoe is the lack of forefoot cushioning and that they felt sluggish and not explosive to me. May be a court feel issue more than anything wrong with the shoe. They remind me (not in fit) but in the feel on the court with the Mizuno Wave Exceed 4 – which many people love but I did not personally care for both due the fit and I did not like the way they felt on the court. I had the white ones with orange accent and teal soles and I actually liked the look a lot and got a lot of compliments on them. While they will not be my main shoe, I will definitely pull them out from time to time. I am looking to give them a try on clay the next time I play on it to see how they do off a hard court.

Prince VenomWas on the TW playtest. These shoes are built to last and very durable. Glove like fit and comfortable. Played about 15 hours and no sign of breaking down. I also like the 3 color options available.

Comfort & ControlThis very low key colorway stood up to 90 degree F weather and red clay abuse. A quick wipe after play was all it took to clean them. The outsole shows little signs of wear after 20 = hours on clay &10 on HC. A worthy successor to the Prince Warrior shoe.

Prince Venom shoesI was a play tester for TW for this shoe. comfort: very snug fit. Size wise with this shoe, I could have gone up a half size. Was just a small amount short. I stretched them out in between using them with shoe stretchers and they finally fit more comfortable. The shoes fit a little small in my opinion. -arch support: no issues there. Arch in proper spot and was comfortable. Right on the money here. -stability/support: This is a big attribute for this shoe. Has great lateral support. Twice in past I have rolled ankle with my Asics. I doubt that would happen with these. Great support!! -ventilation: Hit a lot in the heat. No issues with ventilation. Comfortable with temperature wise. Feet stayed dry!! -sole durability: Hardly any wear noticed. Most likely will have great durability. -toe durability: I am a toe dragger on serves. This shoe holds up just fine. Will not be a problem for you typical toe dragger , even with hitting on a hard court. No noticed toe wear!! -traction: Great traction on both hard court and clay. A friend has a red clay court, and worked equally well on clay as hard court. This shoe can function as both types. -weight: This shoe is a little heavier than my Asics, and not as low to the ground. It makes it up in having great support. General comments. This shoe made a great shoe the practice in, and when I'm in a match went back to my lighter ones the asics. I try to cover the court as much as I can as I do like running the ball down. Light shoes make a difference. After hitting in practice with these shoes, made my Asics seem a lot lighter. This shoe is a great one for practice for me. Seems to have great durability, and hardly any wear so far. These shoes should hold up for a long haul, especially since it has great lateral support, as the lighter Asics lateral support breaks down rather fast. Just a trade off with a lighter pair of shoes. This is a quality shoe, great support and ventilation, and durability. Runs a little small in size, I would recommend going up a half size, but that is me with my fit. Thank you TW for the playtest! Just got off the court hitting singles with these shoes again, and then posted this review.

Nice shoe for most playersSize: True Arch: Medium-low Fit: Medium and then a tad narrower in the toebox Overall, a great and stylish offering from Prince that will work for most players. These shoes have a nice and stable fit, not overly cushioned or pillow-y, but solid. Unless you have pre-existing injuries, they will do more than enough, especially with your personal orthotic. They feel faster than the weight would indicate and movement in them is very natural. They sort of taper down from heel to toe, but they don't make you rock forward or feel like you are on a platform, you can feel the court well. These honestly are like a hybrid of a speed and stability shoe. They remind me of some older Nike models (Vapor 9.5/X) fit nice and feel good. A redesigned outsole could probably cut the weight down, but you really don't notice it much. Plus outsole durability is pretty good. BONUS: The outsole works well on clay! For those, like myself, that play on clay this is a huge bonus. No slipping or traction issues and you can slide fine in them. To me these compete with Barricades, Head Revolt, and probably even the Gel Resolution. Good shoe, great price.
