Solinco Mach-10 17/1.20 String
4.5

This spin monster is engineered for power
Developed over several years of relentless testing, Mach 10 was originally known as 10jx and Confidential 4.0. It is Solinco's most technologically advanced string to date. The secret sauce is called CloudFORM, a unique chemical agent that softens the string without the usual tradeoffs in playability duration. With five sharp edges for enhanced bite and a low-friction surface for vicious snapback, Mach-10 is built for spin. Factor in the higher power level, and you get a heavy ball that drops hard and explodes off the court.

Finally, a Poly that doesn’t blow up my armA 6.8 UTR singles player. Heavy forehand but need Yonex Vcore and Poly to help with spin. Have had to play with Poly / Natural Gut hybrid since the end of 2021 since I couldn't stay on the court playing with full poly's like ALU Power. Saw this stiffness rating is 160-180 lbs/in instead of 200-220 like most other poly's. Strung it initially at 49.5 lbs and felt great but a little forearm tender after 4 days in a row of singles. Dropped it to 47.5-48.5 lbs and I've been feeling great. Destroyed my first 3 USTA singles opponents this year at 4.0.
Playing with the 17g. It does notch a little after 6+ hours of hard but that's expected. Expect at least 10-15 hours out of each pair. At $15, much better performance and cost than have to do natural gut hybrid. Not as pure feel (nothing can top VS Touch feel), but much better spin and power. Well done Solinco. Already stringing my family members and friends with Mach-10.
A more comfortable ConfidentialI have been playing with Confidential 17G for a few years now. Amazing control, spin, feel, durability and playability. The Mach-10 17G is all of the above with a tad more power, snap back and feel. Maybe a bit less directional control on flat, slapped shots. In my Yonex VCore gen7 that has a lower stiffness, it feels amazing and complements the racquet very well strung at 51/49. It took me about 5-6 hours to adjust to the slightly higher launch angle and power boost that I welcome as I am getting older. The spin is excellent, maybe better than the Confidential while it feels softer but not mushy, maintaining the crispness of a deader poly. There is virtually no “break-in” and I was surprised how playable the string has been even after 15 hours of hard hitting. I am very impressed with this new offering from Solinco and my wrist, elbow and shoulder are pain-free even when playing a few days in a row. Great job Solinco!
This is a great stringI have been using Confidential for over 8 years. I am looking for a softer string, and my pro shop recommended Poly Tour. I used it for 15 hours and I found that string lacks power and spin. Disappointed... But now, I found Mach 10 to be the one that I have been looking for. It is a blend of Confidential and Hyper-G. It offers power and much comfort. The shape of the string provides the spin that I am accustomed to. Love it so far.
SoftPretty soft strings, pretty comfortable. Not bad, I prefer Hyper-G's more
