Overview

Used by ATP phenom Daniil Medvedev Razor Soft offers polyester players a phenomenal hitting experience, one that puts the surgical control and spin-friendly precision of the original Razor Code into a slightly more forgiving package. Razor Soft's magic comes in part from a high-modulus polyester (used in the original Razor Code). This material compound gives it the kind of control that enables aggressive players to execute their biggest, most ambitious strokes without fear of overhitting (and it also helps explain why a player like Medvedev prefers it). To help with feel and comfort, Tecnifibre infuses the core with a flexible polyurethane, giving it a slight boost in pocketing over the original Razor Code. Ultimately, this is one of the best options for experienced players looking for maximum control on full swings. The fact that Razor Soft's playability lasts longer than many competing strings is a very nice bonus.

Try this 1.30mm gauge for more control and durability than the thinner gauges.

  • Gauge: 16/1.30mm
  • Length: 40ft/12.2m
  • Composition: Co-polyester monofilament

Pop, spin oh the color!Got this string on a new Tecnifibre TFX stick and couldn't be happier. Good feel, nice control and the folks at TW did a great job putting this together.

Not sure if its the string or racquetHad it strung on a TF40, it lasted for a a lot of game play so longevity is a plus. Probably should have gone a little lower pounds, my balls were shorter than usual and lacked oomph. Its tough to know as that is the only string on that racquet before putting it on sale, so might be the stick.

Still tennis racquetGood feel and control. Also have the TF X1 from another competitor but do not like the feel as much. Much less vibration to me and tennis elbow much better. I used to ice my elbow after matches with my old babalot and yonex racquets but not with this tennis racquet.

Plays a bit unpredictably...USTA 4.0 here; it's a bit unpredictable of a string. Find I'm either short or long; hard to find that 70% sweet spot of consistency. It is quite soft and easy on the arm though which is good and can generate good spin but it's not like Lux or Hyper-G where it gives you the feel of "as long as I give it enough TS it's going to go in".

Good stringI use the string as main, and natural guts as cross for my 12 year old son, he never trained six times a week. He feels the combination gives him control and comfort.

Another Awesome Tecnifibre StringTecnifibre’s Razor Soft string is uniquely powerful, yet has great spin potential. I put in my new Tecnifibre 305s and found it to be exceptional!! Love the white color too.
