Yonex Rexis Speed 16/1.30 String Natural
4.5

Overview
Introducing REXIS SPEED! Although designed by Yonex to be the firmest member of the Rexis family, our lab results place it at the soft end of the spectrum. Made from an army of nylon and polyester filaments, REXIS SPEED offers a comfortable and dampened feel at impact, with excellent pocketing and above average control for a soft string. In addition to giving you an arm-friendly hitting experience, this string retains its comfort, feel and touch when strung tighter for control. It will also add a little extra comfort, feel and power to any hybrid.
- Gauge: 16L/1.25mm
- Length: 40ft/12m
- Composition: Multifilament - high-intensity nylon & polyester filaments bonded with a high modulus PU resin (FORTIMO)

EXCELLENT multi, poor durabilityThis would be my multi of choice, if it weren't for its poor durability. It somehow offers control, "pop", and comfort all at the same time. It lets met play instinctively and naturally, without having to compensate one way or the other. I use it on the crosses, with co-polys in the mains. If you don't mind changing the string often, the Rexis Speed 16g is an excellent choice.
Excellent Firmer MultiYonex ran a free stringing promo a few years at the club I belonged to for their new Rexis line. I tried both the Speed and the Comfort, and the Speed 16 felt great and has been my string of choice for the last 3+years. I have also tried Tecnifibre Triax 16, it's similar in construction to Rexis Speed but is stiffer and not as comfortable. I am a 4.0 player and a long-time mutifilament user, Speed offers the softer feel of a multi while also some of the benefits of a poly when hitting out. I'm not a string breaker, and while Speed does start to fray fairly quickly it doesn't break even after several months of regular use. Nice blend of string technologies.
Nice and comfortable stringVery comfortable, quite elbow-friendly string. I've been using this product for more than three months. Fraying begins after hitting more than 13-15 hours. More powered than soft poly strings, but not as much as general multifilament strings (e.g., NRG, X-One, Wilson NXT, as well as some hybrids like Triax). Quite crispy, but arm-friendly.
However, not free from notching. Notching begins from day 3. Also, string movements (i.e., shifting after hitting) gets noticeable after ten days --- this is not that severe, but makes this string slightly away from the perfect ideal.

All AroundTried this at 57lbs in my Yonex Vcore Pro 97D. The feeling on impact is unique and very crisp. You can tell it's not a typical multifilament construction. The polyester filaments give this string impressive snap back. I really enjoy the pop, feel, and power. It also gives me pretty good spin and the strings always snap back to their original position— love that. Maybe the best string I've ever tried, in a full bed setup anyways. The only downside for me is durability. I got 4-5 hours without too much wear, but once the outer coating/layer wears away and the filaments are exposed, the playability and snap back suffer dramatically. Next, I think I'll try these in the mains and Yonex Poly Tour Pro in the crosses. I am a 4.0 all court player who hits with moderate spin. Overall, I love these strings.
