Yonex adds a beautiful beige cosmetic to the VCORE 98!

Introducing the VCORE 98 Sand Beige! Featuring the same specs and playability as the standard cosmetic version, this racquet is a speedy spin monster with great ball feedback. Offering easier power than the VCORE 95, the VCORE 98 gives you the benefit of a larger margin of error without sacrificing the precision that experienced players crave. It's also extremely fast, making it great for cranking winners on the run or reacting quickly at net. For 2023 Yonex overhauls the ISOMETRIC head shape by creating an even roomier, more luxurious hitting zone in the upper hoop. The payoff is a more forgiving and stable hitting experience, with an expanded spin window and juicier levels of power. Yonex has also recontoured the VCORE shaft and made slight tweaks to the beam throughout the frame. Other new features include SIF Grommets, which deploys a silicone oil infusion to reduce the friction between the string and grommet. The upshot is greater string movement for increased snapback and more vicious ball rotation. Yonex has also lowered the RA, giving this stick an even more buttery feel at impact. Like the previous generation, this racquet benefits from 2G-NAMD FlexForce Graphite in the upper shaft and lower hoop, enabling the racquet to flex optimally through impact. Ultimately, this is a great option for players who want spin-friendly targeting and great feel. The beige cosmetic is a nice bonus!

Trying Yonex finallyI’m 38 and have been playing tennis for almost four years. I started with HEAD racquets, but Yonex had always been on my radar for some reason. After all this time, I finally decided to demo one—and I fell in love immediately. Initially, I planned to train with it before using it in tournaments. However, since it felt so good right from the start, I decided to adapt to the racquet while playing tournament matches. I switched from a 100 sq. inch (300g) HEAD Extreme MP to this 98 sq. inch (305g) Yonex, and despite the change, it felt like home from the very first hit. The racquet feels great in hand, offers excellent spin potential, and provides more stability at the net compared to my previous one.

Very good racquetI was using the Ezone 100, and one day I tried the Yonex Vcore 98 and the another day went to bought. For me the Vcore has more control that the Ezone and it is very easy to make spin. 10/10

Great racquet! The Yonex Vcore is definitely built for folks who enjoy hitting with topspin. The lighter head weight also helps with my accuracy when serving and hitting overhead shots. I had to adjust for playing at the net but after a couple weeks I found the sweet spot. Great racquet for those who like an 11 oz+ weight that cuts through the air on all your strokes. Highly recommend for players getting the hang of tennis

VCore 98 Yonex RacquetThis is a great racquet. Have been using it for eight years, as a junior player, D1 college, and now in futures.

Excellent power and control; good spinThe VCore 98 performs differently than its marketing suggests. This is not a STIFF spin racquet like the SX600 Tour 98, the Extreme Tour (now Pro) 98, Pure Drive 98, or Aero 98. It's actually something with no real parallels: a FLEXY spin racquet. The standout feature is the flex and control: the RA of 62 feels even more flexible in practice, more like a Blade or Prestige. Yes, it has wider string spacing (significantly wider crosses, slightly wider mains versus the Ezone 98), and the asymmetric shape give it lots of power, but it's not crazy open; if the Extreme Tour is a 10 for spin and the Blade 16x19 is a 5, then this is a 7.5 -- good spin but not huge levels. It's made for players who create their own spin with excellent mechanics and who value control, but want more spin than a Blade or Ezone. Wow, the control is surprising and the touch around the net is an A+. It's not pinpoint control like the Ezone 98 and Blade but it's miles more precise than the Extreme or the Pure Drive 98. Just as precise, maybe more so than the Aero 98. Like the Aero 98, it's not a very easy racquet to use, but if you have good mechanics and very high racquet head speed and you want control, then this is a must demo. I've been playing it beside my usual racquet the Ezone 98 for some time, and I go back and forth. I can see why so many pros have switched to it but I'm not sure I'm good enough to make it my #1, as the Ezone 98 is a much easier stick. Expect to add some lead at 12 (I did, 4g) and/or 3 and 9, which helps hit faster serves.

Great racquetI thought I was happy playing with the VCore 100 (7th Gen) but after reading numerous positive reviews on the VCore 98 (7th Gen), I bought one to try. If you have strong groundstrokes, the 98 feels much more in control and steadier than the 100. Swing fast with the VCore 98 and the ball will go where you want and stay in. The 100 just feels a little more flighty than the 98 and sometimes the ball gets away on me. But don't get me wrong, the VCore 100 is a good racquet and does have more pop and spin. The VCore 98 seems to be more stable and keeps balls lower than the VCore 100 which is great when playing doubles. I also think that the VCore 98 has more touch and feel, such as for drop shots and offensive topspin lobs. I'd recommend the VCore 98 to players that can generate their own power and looking for a spin racquet that can do other things well too. I'm a 4.0 player with a heavy forehand.

Works for me!Had used the Wilson Pro Staff 97 for years, but due to non-tennis related elbow issues, I had to turn down the racquet stiffness a bit. So, I demoed then bought the VCore 98 2023. I'm a 4.5 player and I use NXT 17 strung at 52 pounds. Love the racquet. It's solid from the baseline with plenty of spin and power. I'm not feeling the same pop with volleys, but with some small technical adjustments it's quite good. I can hit 500-700 balls in an hour and the elbow feels fine.
