Overview
Pick up the pace with the SoleCourt Boost! It's immediately apparent after trying on this shoe that adidas really put its soul into designing it - with the innovative combination of all-around comfort, lightweight materials, stability and durability, this shoe manages to offer the best of all worlds. From the 3D molded component foam in the heel to the familiarly plush Boost material underfoot, everything about this shoe points to step-in comfort. The TPU chassis provides premium stability, the Adituff engineered RPU dots are strategically placed for maximum abrasion resistance in the forefoot area, and the ADIWEAR 6 outsole material in a modified herringbone tread pattern offers excellent traction and durability on any court surface.
- Upper: TPU material wraps feet for stability. ADITUFF RPU dots for enhanced durability in key abrasion areas.
- Midsole: BOOST technology provides comfort and responsive rebound in every step. 3D Molded Heel for locked in feel, comfort and stability as well as lightweight, adaptive support.

Comments: I have been wearing adidas Barricades for decades. Loved them, until now. This SoleCourt Boost for me is terrible. I have a normal foot and never had a problem. With these shoes both my ankles bled because they are so tight and very uncomfortable. Why they changed a good shoe is beyond me. Two thumbs down.

Comments: If you are heavy, the tire tread soles grip the ground and hurt your knees through the rotation. I don't know who approved these soles over the circles at the balls of the foot, but it's disappointing.

Comments: I think that this on paper is a fabulous shoe, however the sizing issues are extremely frustrating. I have worn a size 11.5 in Barricades my whole life, and after sizing down to 11 and wearing two pairs of socks I still feel like I have a little too much room, which is frankly embarrassing for adidas. Sizing issues aside though I do really enjoy this shoe.

Comments: I finally found the wide shoes that I had been looking for for a long time. I was a long time New Balance fan; however, in the last several years I noticed that the New Balance shoes size 9.5 4E are now very tight. These shoes fit me perfectly so I'm ordering several more for back up.

Comments: Agree with most reviews, the shoes are quite wide. The durability is great, but after that is when these shoes start to fall off. There is a seam on the inside of the shoe, and if I don't wear thick socks then I get a blister the size of a quarter. Also due to the wider fit and the laces, heel lockdown is not superb. The cushioning is subpar as well, the heel cushioning is nice, but there is zero cushioning in the forefoot. Overall this shoe is okay. Also agree with Stefan, the outsole starts slightly separating from the boost on the outer side of the shoe.

Comments: Really loved these shoes in terms of fit, playability, and comfort. Top notch. However, I repeatedly had issues with the section of the shoe that juts out on the side for added stability. I've repeatedly had the outsole start peeling off that part of the shoe very early into wearing them. I will be looking for a new shoe elsewhere until an update is made.

Comments: What happened to the narrow European fit. These shoes are way too wide. There is no control over the backsides of the shoe. The soles of the shoes are so soft that your foot can rock side to side when you are serving. I have worn adidas for fifty plus years and the shoes are now a disaster in my opinion.

Comments: Mix feeling on this shoe. As a long term Barricade Boost user, I've worn all the Barricade Boost and the original 2015/2016 Boost which were my favorite shoes of all time, I was very excited to try these on. First of all they feel very big. Even after going down half a size, they are still very wide in the forefoot, but my toe is already touching the edge of the toe box so not able to go a full size down. So my suggestion is to get at least half a size smaller than usual. Besides the fit, they are very comfortable shoes. A little bit heavy, but not crazy, very plush cushion under the heel, but nice response in the forefoot. Very stable as well, surprisingly not feeling too high off the ground based on that cushion in the heel. Traction is great as with all the Barricade. Highly recommend for players with wider feet, who love cushioning. For players with narrow feet like myself, unfortunately not for us.

Comments: These shoes are great for stability and are very comfortable, but they are not cushioned in the forefoot. The material around your foot is very nice, but if you're a forefoot heavy player and want some more comfort, this is not the shoe.

Comments: The Boosts have always been stellar. This one upholds the tradition with one minor caveat, about a month through wearing them, my right foot upper part started hurting. It was directly correlated with how much pressure I used tying the shoelace. What's odd is that one would think this would happen initially, not after a month of wear. It has since gone away.

Comments: Playing with this model of shoes for about nine months now, and they are one of my favorite models. The width is nice as I have wide feet and the Boost midsole is super soft. They are super stable and the most durable shoes I have played in. The only downsides are that they get warm after hitting and the laces sometime loosen up over time.

Comments: Great shoes, a little heavy but nice and comfortable, good looking too.

Comments: These shoes are very good. Please do not worry that the static weight is heavy compared to other shoes since they feel light enough on your feet. They are very stable and comfortable, and the Boost material provides very good cushion. They are comfortable right out of the box. There is an issue with size. I used to wear Barricades size 12, but I ordered a half size smaller 11.5 in the SoleCourt Boost and they fit just right. These shoes are also slightly wider in the front portion than Barricades were, but that was not an issue for me. I actually prefer the fit of these. I am very pleased with my purchase.

Comments: First things first, I started wearing the Boost generation shoe since they first came out. Softest landings of any tennis shoe ever. I've been a teaching pro for 35 years hence my feet have walked, ran, jumped, slid, and more. Bottomline, if you need a cushioned landing with excellent starting, turning, and stopping without any foot discomfort buy these shoes. The model makes little difference, just try them around your house without messing up the soles, and you'll be split stepping your game in comfort. Totally recommend them.

Comments: I am a 4.5+ level player and my shoes are an important part of my daily play. I think these shoes are one of the best players shoes I have ever worn.
From: Anonymous, 12/29/19
Comments: These shoes are still the best for me. My foot type, a little wider than normal and a high arch may not be yours. The bounce material really does deliver a cushioned ride, no matter how long I play. Definitely recommended.

Comments: I literally gave these shoes away. I ordered size 8.5 but they fit like 9.5s, $160 shoes that are a full size off. This is my third pair of adidas tennis shoes. Compared to other brands, adidas tennis shoes are interesting in my opinion. The cushioning is great, but something is always off, thin cheap insoles, sizing, and more.

Comments: The adidas SoleCourt Boost are one of the best tennis sneakers that adidas have ever made. The comfort and fit are unmatched from any other sneaker I have ever worn. I have a narrow foot, but a common issue with arthritis in my toes. With this shoe I still get the tight fit that I need to make sharp cuts, and sudden stops and starts but also gives me the stability from rolling my ankles over with the extra wide sole on the front of the shoe. I play a lot of tournaments and league tennis, so I need a very durable sneaker. I highly recommend this sneaker to every advanced tennis player looking for a very responsive shoe.

Comments: I have had these shoes in size 9.5 for about two months now. I've been a long time Barricades Boost fan and still own a pair of Barricades. I switch between the SoleCourt and the Barricades every so often to keep the shoes from getting funky. I noticed that the toebox on the SoleCourt is larger. I have wide feet so it felt better for my feet. Upon wear, I didn't have to deal with the sides of my feet being squeezed, I have to redo the laces on my Barricades, and letting my feet push the sides of the Barricades out. The SoleCourt shoes felt great on the first wear. More comfortable, roomier for my wider feet, and the material along the heel is soft and didn't cause issues with my achilles. The feel on the court of the Barricades and SoleCourts are very similar. For the price, feel, and for wider feet, it's a great investment. There are reviews noting that the SoleCourts don't hold up to wear. I'm noting that players who tend to slide and play far more than three times a week have a lot of wear on these shoes. The bottom of these shoes do wear down compared to the Barricades. The shoes aren't back by a durability warranty most likely because of this. If you're recreational like me, this shoe is tremendous value and will probably last you a good bit of time. If you're worried about the durability issue, just buy multiples these shoes when adidas has a sale. Well worth the price for the comfort. Highly recommend.

Comments: The shoes are really pretty, but very comfortable. In fact this is the first time I injured my feet. I wouldn't recommend it.
From: Constantino, 10/22/19
Comments: The SoleCourt Boost feels lighter and more cushioned than the Barricades, which I was a fan for the past 10 years. Overall I would recommend the Boost because they are a good fit and performed similar to the Barricades. Beware of the sizing, they run big and I had to order down a half a size, might even have gone down one size.
From: Andy, 9/28/19
Comments: My shoe of choice was the Novak Barricade. When he switched to Asics, I tried almost all K-Swiss shoes and settled on the Knit Shot which was retired too, so I decided to go back to the Gel Resolution and ordered a pair. This is the most comfortable shoe I've ever used. Thanks to Tennis Warehouse for taking back my Asics Gel Resolution which I bought but never used and replacing with this shoe. My style is running down every ball and wearing my opponent down so just be informed, this is not a light and soft shoe, and is for people who run crazy and need most cushioning with comfort more than anything else.
From: Obaid, 9/1/19
Comments: I tried these shoes after owning four pairs of Barricades. Unfortunately I sent them back because I felt that the cushioning in the heel wasn't as good as the Barricade cushioning. I was very excited when I saw that they put the Boost system in the forefoot of this shoe. The ideal shoe would be the SoleCourt with more heel cushioning or the Barricade with Boost in the forefoot.
From: Geoff, 7/25/19
Comments: This shoe runs almost a full size larger in my opinion. I would recommend trying on before you remove tags or play in them.
From: Keith, 6/20/19
Comments: This is the first shoe for me since the Vapor 9.5's that have that out of the box fit and feel. The Ubersonic 2's came close, but the stiff, clunky, heavy 3's in no way resemble the glove-like fit of the discontinued 2's. As for these SoleCourt Boost's, I needed to go down a half size. I wear a 9.5 in everything and was disappointed when I first tried these in my size. I noticed folks recommending a half size down and I'm glad I exchanged them for a 9. I now have 30+ hours on these shoes and they grow more and more comfortable and formfitting with each use. I usually have some sort of mild foot ache or pain after a couple of hours on the court, not with these. They are fast and flexible, yet provide stability and the right amount of grip on the hardcourts. Normally, I experience quickly worn treads, but these still look brand new. They feel more durable than any lightweight shoe I've worn before and I expect them to hold up over time. I'm a 4.0 all court player and play 4 to 5 times a week.
From: John, 6/17/19
Comments: In the past, I've mostly played with Ubersonics, both 2.0 and 3.0 iterations and I played with one pair of Barricades. I switched to a pair of these on a whim and have been playing with them exclusively for the past two months. I play maybe 4 hours per week and I love these shoes, this is my new go-to shoe. They are comfortable, stable, fit great, and have great traction. The sole has been durable for the past month or so, but I can't comment on longevity yet. These are the best adidas shoe I've worn to date. These run maybe a half size larger than past adidas shoes. I wore a 10.5 in the last version of the Barricades, had to go down to a size 10 in these shoes.
From: Brad, 5/18/19
Comments: I was a little hesitant to try this model out. It replaced the Barricade line, which was one of my favorites. I had recently switched to the NB 1296 before trying this model out. This shoe is the most comfortable shoe that I have worn. It has a secure fit, great traction, and a low to the ground feel which is my preference. The boost cushioning is very responsive. Aside from the higher price point and no durability guarantee, this is one my favorite tennis shoes. I went down half a size for a better fit, but the arch support and wider toe box was very comfortable. A nice update from adidas.
From: JJ23, 5/13/19
Comments: The side of my shoe where the boost is completely tore apart and my foot went through. This happened in a time span of less than 3 months. I do not recommend these pairs of shoes.
From: Jonathan, 5/10/19
Comments: I just switched to these shoes after wearing the Asics Solution Speed FF. The Asics felt pretty good, although they are slightly small and could have a little more room in the toe area. But the main reason I switched was for better stability. The Asics felt mushy and less stable when doing hard lateral push-offs. These adidas shoes feel much more stable and grip the court well. Also, very important to me, is that my heels and ankles feel pretty locked in. I didn't like adidas shoes in the past because my heels would come up right out of the shoe. These shoes solve this issue. They feel stable and comfortable. The only thing bugging me was that the left upper eyelet was poking into my inner upper ankle and that hurt a bit. Maybe my laces were too tight and loosening them a bit helped. No such issue on the right side.
From: William, 4/26/19
Comments: I didn't like the Boost feature in the Barricades but decided to give it another chance in its SoleCourt incarnation. The end result was the same, after about 8-10 hours of intensive singles play the shoe turns to mush. As opposed to the regular Barricades that provides a long-lasting lateral support and a firm sole that both helps a player to push off into a shot, the SoleCourt simply degrades and softens up very quickly. These shoes may be fine for a pro who uses a new pair for every match, but for everyone else who expects their shoes to maintain their playability for at least a couple of months or so the Boost technology simply doesn't work. I understand that there are players who prefer a softer shoe, and adidas had the Feather and Ubersonic lines for them, but now they seem to have replaced the Barricades with this SoleCourt.

Comments: The best shoe I have ever put on. Feels like you are walking on a cloud.
From: Steven, 4/12/19
Comments: This shoe is very comfortable and well built. I have always worn a size 7 in adidas shoes and they have always fit well. This shoe felt amazing, but it is wider then both the Ubersonic, Novak Pro, and Barricade. I had to return them as I had major heel slippage due to the increased room built in to the toe of the shoe. I recommend going down 1/2 size if you have narrow feet. I will reorder these as soon as they become available in a smaller size.
From: Dean, 3/23/19
Comments: Very frustrated with these sneakers. The tongue keeps slipping down under the laces. They are very roomy and maybe that contributes to the problem. I have put the laces through the loop in the tongue, but the problem persists. I cannot play hard in these sneakers without having to constantly adjust the tongue.
From: Anonymous, 3/20/19
Comments: I have to agree that these are the best adidas sneakers I've worn in a long while. I've been a Barricade wearer on and off for a long while, until they go too narrow for me. These fit great and are super comfortable.
From: Scott, 2/27/19
Comments: I became a fan of the Boost cushion material a few months ago for its excellent support and responsiveness in running shoes, so I knew I'd buy these. I have really liked this shoe. I have a wide foot and I had no break in period whatsoever. The shoe feels very stable on the court and seems to be holding up well (I am a big guy and I tend to wear shoes out quickly).
From: Tim, 2/7/19
Comments: Great shoe. I have a wide foot, and Barricades were too narrow. Ubersonics were light but not that comfortable. I ended up going with Wilson Rush Pro 2.5's for 2018. These new SoleCourt Boosts combine the best of both worlds - comfort, traction. Boost material is the real deal. I also like the fact that the ridged herringbone sole can be used on clay or hard courts. I typically find a shoe I like and go through 3-4 pairs/year. This is my go-to tournament shoe for 2019. I normally get a half-size larger and put orthotics in. For the past 2 weeks I went with my normal size, no orthotics, and had zero problems with arch support.
From: Herschel, 1/23/19
Comments: I previously had a pair of Barricade Boosts and found them to be great for my achilles pain. I decided to give the Sole Court Boost a try. What a great shoe. These shoes connect you to the court and allow to move more quickly around the court and are much more comfortable than the Barricades. I went down a 1/2 size due to the wider toe box. There is absolutely no break in period required. Pricey, but definitely one of the best shoes I have worn in a while.
From: John, 1/21/19
Comments: Looking to replace my Gel Resolution 6 with 7th version. The toe box was too narrow. The Adidas SoleCourt provided a better wider toe box. Comfort and cushioning as good or better than the Gel Resolution 6 for my aging knees. Allows me to stay aggressive and not feel sore after a 2 hour match. Traction is superb... like the Adidas Barricade V. These are very grippy and the large footprint connects me to the hard courts. They are a bit much but worth it if you have knee pain.
From: Albee, 1/7/19
Comments: The toe box is definitely very roomy even in two pairs of socks so I went down half a size. The fit became a lot better. The materiel around my ankle is kinda stiff at first but after wearing it for about 2 hours it became very plush. Cushioning is good. Don't expect the same cushion as an Ultraboost or Nomad. The Boost here is not as soft but still got the job done. Overall very solid shoes when you get the sizing right. $160 is a little too much for me though.
From:Russell, 1/5/19
Comments: I went with a 1/2 size smaller (same with new Barricades 2018) per TW's suggestion and I wasn't disappointed. Like Ha said, the sole is much stickier than the Barricades that I have. I am a fan of the materials used in this shoe, especially the back of the shoe, the black material. I have been a Nike tennis shoe user for ages, with these and the Barricade Boost 2018 which I use for clay, I am confident in my switch to adidas.
From:Stoph, 1/4/19
Comments: I got these a couple of days ago. I was amazed at how comfortable they felt on my feet. These are indeed a new direction for adidas. I'm a 4.0 player and have been wearing adidas since the Barricade 2s. I have also worn the adizero models too. In my honest opinion, this shoe is by far the most comfortable, stable, extremely light, high performance tennis shoe adidas has made to date. There is absolutely no break-in period -- none, nada, zilch. Just put them on shut up and play. To paraphrase a football coach, they are what they say they are. One thing to take note of, they have a wide forefoot. That being stated if you have a very narrow foot these may not be for you. Additionally I know, the price is too high. But, if you purchase a pair you won't be disappointed.

Comments: First day wearing these and so far love them. I'm an Ubersonic fan and need a wide toe box and these are very roomy. Softer sole than both the Barricade and Ubers. The sole is much stickier than the Ubers also. Comfortable right out of the box, lower ride and more cushion than the Barricades. I went with same size as Ubers and the length is same, just higher comfort levels. Will add more comments as I use them. Two thumbs up.
