Overview

One of the fastest shoes on the market just got even better! The Gel Solution Speed FF, the update to the Solution Speed 3, now features Flyte Foam cushioning for the ultimate lightweight cushioned experience. The Flexion Fit should be a better fit compared to the Solution Speed 3, and the seamless  upper has an extremely soft and intuitive fit, which wraps your foot with great ventilation, support and stability. The rubber outsole in a modified herringbone tread pattern will grip any court surface well, but is especially well-suited for hard courts. All in all, this revolutionary shoe marries lightweight responsiveness and premium stability, ideal for the aggressive mover who wants the best of both worlds.

  • Upper: Seamless PU upper with Flexion Fit for a wider fit than the previous model. A built in inner support helps with step-in comfort and flexibility. Personal Heel Fit technology locks in the back of the foot for better stability and fit. AHAR outsole wraps up at the toe for improved durability.
  • Midsole: FlyteFoam cushioning in the midsole adds responsive cushioning, a lighter midsole experience and more durability. The midfoot Trusstic system helps resist unwanted twisting for added support and stability.
  • Outsole: Asics High Abrasion Rubber in a modified herringbone tread pattern offers good durability and traction on any court surface.
  • Color: White / Black / Orange

Comments: I'm a huge fan of Asics, but after reading all the negative reviews for these shoes I was nervous about giving them a try. Fortunately I took the plunge as I've found these shoes to be a worthy successor to the Solution Speed 3. Obviously everyone's feet are different, so what works for one person may not work for another. That said I haven't experienced any of the popping noises or foot pain that others have mentioned. These shoes has easily met my expectations and has only added my love of Asics tennis shoes. Speed, stability, flexibility, foot protection. I've found it all in this version of the Speed.
From: Dean, 9/29/20

Comments: One of those shoes that gives you wings. I loved every bit of it, I was quick and never felt that I wore the shoes. Unfortunately, the honeymoon period got over. The plastic mold over the mesh kept hurting by the arches, right after the forefoot. It was so bad, that I was forced to return these shoes. The entire episode hurt my feet and spoiled my game for three months. I could not wear any other shoes because the injury created a bump and refused to heal. I had to stop playing for months. After four tries, I settled with the Nike Vapor. I would love to go back to Asics. I have to mention, in the entire process Tennis Warehouse was understanding and guided me well to recovery. The whole thing could be just me, if your feet are made for these shoes, there is no turning back. You will love them.
From: Daniel, 9/14/20

Comments: A long time Asics customer. No more. These shoes are oddly narrow in the front. I do not have wide feet, however I felt like a ballerina couldn't comfortably wear these on a tennis court. In addition, as others have noted, the laces are thin and short, and the shoe is generally stiff. Because I was such an Asics fan, I tried for months to break them in. I shouldn't have bothered.
From: Gary, 6/13/20

Comments: After a total fail with the Gel Resolution 8 shoes, I tried these instead. The plastic top of foot is horrible, it doesn't flex, makes noise, and just isn't comfortable. Feet hurt after playing a couple hours. No improvement with break-in. Never an Asics customer again.
From: Chris, 5/20/20

Comments: Rubber popping while walking and running is a deal breaker. Bought four pairs on sale, but not even worth the sales price due to this problem. Going to return the three pairs I haven't opened.
From: Dave, 5/9/20

Comments: I have been wearing Asics models for many years. I didn't have any worries about quality and fit, so I bought this model strictly based on color. My only disappointment was the fact that these shoes squeak, something's rubbing against each other, a lot. More like a squelching sound, but it's definitely there. Not sure whether it's just the tongue rubbing against the throat or quarter area of the shoe, or it's somewhere within the layers of the midsole. I bought three pairs at once and am on my second pair, this one is doing the same thing. I'm overlooking this issue because I don't notice the squeaks once I'm moving around on the court, and these shoes really fit and perform well. I just make sure I take them off as soon as I get off the court. Yes, the noise is that noticeable.
From: Drew, 4/29/20

Comments: Have wide feet, thought it was a bit too narrow at the tip, probably fine for someone with regular or narrow feet. I didn't like that the laces were so thin and not cushioned like most tennis shoes, and makes me worried it would snap. I didn't feel like this was the most laterally supportive shoe. Felt like the shoe was sliding over the sole. Favorite shoes have been the New Balance 996 in 2E. Most comfortable shoe for wide feet I've ever worn.
From: Tri, 2/25/20

Comments: Asics missed the mark on these for sure. The top bunches up and causes the lower foot irritation. I bought the Asics Challenger 12s as a backup and they are superior shoe by far. The redesign may look better, but definitely has a lot of issues.
From: Jason, 2/3/20

Comments: So I have been wearing Solution Speeds since the Speed 2. I have a size 10 wide foot and typically any true fit 10 wide shoe works for me. Of all the versions, this is the best. Yes I had some clicking the first match or two, but that vanished in a very short time. The Speed 2's ran long and while they breathed the best, they didn't offer as much lock in for the forefoot as later models. The Speed 3's were a true fit. No break-in and while they breath less, they are very locked in with no movement issues. I resisted moving to the FF until I could no longer get the 3's. The FF has a short break in period, maybe an hour. But they fit true, are very stable and comfortable. I had been using them for a year when I found a pair of 3's my size on sale. So I bought them. Played three matches in two days and for the first time in a while, my knees were sore. So those are going to the closet, and I am back to the FF's. If you want a fast, secure, and comfortable shoe, this is the one.
From: Ron, 1/7/20

Comments: Didn't notice any of the clicking or clown noises like what the other reviews mentioned. However, like other reviews have mentioned these shoe did hurt around the tire area and left me with some blisters and ton of calluses, I have been playing tennis for years. Overall if these shoes just got better and had better lacing it would've been nice because I did like the cushioning, weight and looks of them. Too bad if did more harm than good to my feet.
From: Thanaphat, 12/13/19

Comments: After months of wearing these shoes my feet still hurt when I'm done playing. The grip was good when the shoes were new. The toe box folds funny when walking and after 30 years of playing I'm getting calluses on the top of my toes as well as on my little toes. My feet run a little wide and these shoes run narrow.
From: William, 11/12/19

Comments: Great shoes. Nice and lightweight, flexible where they need to be. Durability seems to be just fine. I don't believe these are marketed as an extra-durable type shoes. Comfortable with virtually no break-in period. I've worn Zoom Vapor X's for the last few years and have been using the Speed FF's for about three months. Just read through all the reviews and I have not experienced the clicking and popping sounds, and honestly am not sure what everybody's talking about. They're tennis shoes, I can't hear any noise they make while walking or running beyond the ordinary sounds of walking and running. My only critique for the next model would be to include slightly chunkier shoe laces, the included laces are sorta thin.
From: Scott, 11/3/19

Comments: I bought these as a replacement to the Court FF. The Court FF may be the finest tennis shoe I have worn in over 40 years of play. The Speed FF just doesn't measure up in anyway. The Speed FF is comfortable from heel to midfoot, but it's quite uncomfortable from midfoot to toe. I have worn them to work for the last month in hopes that they would break-in, but so far that isn't the case. There is a clicking noise when walking that is also annoying. These will remain work shoes, not tennis shoes.
From: Kirk, 10/30/19

Comments: After wearing Asics for four years in a row, it is time to say goodbye old friend. There are more comfortable shoes out there and at better prices too. Plus, no more embarrassing sounds like popping corn when walking. Truly a shame for a once nice shoe.
From: Robert, 10/23/19

Comments: Ditto what most people said about the clicking and popping sounds, and lack of support. Although the cushioning is nice, why did Asics do this? Resolutions, Solution Speed, and Challengers all fit great. They really ruined this one in my opinion. I am a 4.0 level player.
From: Barnes, 10/10/19

Comments: Just returned this shoe. Asics completely missed the mark on the Speed Solution 3 redesign. The rubber upper part of the shoe is uncomfortable, hot and bunches up when tightened. This then causes clicking when you run. Have to switch brands after ten years.
From: Dan, 10/4/19

Comments: Been a long time user of the Solution Speeds. The two's and three's were great, I bought those until they stopped selling them, and decided to get the FF's. I thought they would be somewhat similar, but I was wrong. They feel lighter, but lack support on the top. The overall construction feels a lot cheaper. They also make this funny clicking noise when you walk in them. Overall, not too impressive, but not too disappointing either. Will most likely get them again. As much as I wish Asics would sell the older ones, the Solution Speed FF is still a good shoe for my game.
From: Eric, 9/29/19

Comments: Overall a good shoe but like some of the other reviewers have said, it makes a funny clown walking noise when walking on surfaces. Play-wise they're fine. I hope they fix the clown noise in the next revision.
From: Nimesh, 9/18/19

Comments: After about four months the soles are already starting to separate from the bottom of the shoe. I don't even really play a lot of tennis, so I am disappointed to say the least. Also started slipping and falling a lot, never really did before. This was my first and probably last pair of Asics.
From: Mark, 9/18/19

Comments: I'm sad that I have to agree with the majority of all the other reviews of this shoe. I've been wearing two different pairs of the Resolution 6 and also a pair of Solution Speeds, and they have all been great right out of the box. They've been so great that I wore out the inserts and the rest of the shoes were great so I bought some Spenco Total Support Thin inserts and replaced the old one's, they are a perfect fit. The shoes felt new again and I got double the life out of all three pairs. I was looking forward to these shoes, especially after watching all the video playing reviews. However, after one two hour session of playing, my little toes were hurting as well as the top of my feet from the plastic all over the shoes bending in a crazy way so that it intruded inward and like others said, they were very loud with all that plastic bending. Just not impressed. I'm not sure why all the shoes have gone so far in the plastic direction.
From: Darrell, 9/5/19

Comments: These shoes are very disappointing. The upper material is vinyl and clunks terribly. It's stiff and causes pressure points. The toe box in this shoe is still too narrow. I was able to use these after adjusting them with a heat gun and a pair of pliers. Luckily the material melts just above room temperature and was able to widen the forefoot area the half inch that was needed. They still make my feet hurt when playing and life is just too short.
From: Reid, 8/30/19

Comments: I am a big Asics fan, but I have to skip on these shoes. I first used the resolution then switched to solution speed starting with the 2 and I have been using them since. I recently got the court FF and while they have some issues, there is no denying the FF is a great material for a shoe. So, when the Solution Speed FF came out I thought it would be the best of my favorite shoes. Unfortunately, the new upper construction didn't improve the shoe at all. When you actually walk in the shoe the upper collapses in the soft areas producing a clicking sound which creates uncomfortable pressure points on each step. Also, I have really narrow feet and these shoes are barely wide enough for me. Frankly, I felt uncomfortable in these shoes. They threw me off to to the point where I was afraid of an injury.
From: Ayman, 8/15/19

Comments: This shoe has a lot of issues, very noisy when walking because of the plastic covering it. It hurt my toes and my heels, I used to love Asics, but this shoe is a not good in my opinion.
From: Mike, 7/27/19

Comments: Really nice shoe, but I couldn't get the midfoot snug enough. My feet verge on wide and flat side, and I prefer a snug wrap around the midfoot over an arch bump. The toe box was good, but to avoid heel slippage I had to use the last eyelet hole.
From: Steve, 7/25/19

Comments: I love the Asics Speed and Resolution shoes. This Speed FF is quite the opposite. Even after I put my own Superfeet insoles, these shoes felt weird while walking. The left shoe clicked in the toe area because of the plastic on top. After a match, the top of my right foot hurt, and the shoes rubbed the skin off the top of my left pinky and ring toe. These shoes really effected my game, I felt really sluggish and had a hard time moving.
From: Vicki, 7/22/19

Comments: These are not bad shoes. After 8 months on my existing pair, the soles are looking a little warn so I am contemplating replacing them with a new pair since TW now has a sale on some colors. Yes, actually I heard the clicking sound as well the first time I put them on, but it went away quickly and while you are striking balls you won't hear it anyway. My prior shoes were the Resolution 7s. Comparing build to the 7s they have a lower heal height, but I never felt unstable in the Resolution 7s. They are lighter, but not as robustly built. Comparing fit. The lacing system on the Resolution 7s worked better for me, the toe box area on the Speed FFs is wider, the underfoot cushioning in the Speed FFs seems better. I enjoyed both shoes so its hard to pick a winner. The best for me would be the lacing system and more locked in feel of the upper from the Resolution 7s, and the better overall fit and cushioning of the Speed FFs. I am still not sure which way I'm going to go for the next pair. If you grab them on sale, and they fit you out of the box I think you will be happy.
From: Seth, 7/19/19

Comments: Shoes run narrow, they squeeze and hurt my feet. I cannot recommend these shoes. I am a men's size 14.
From: Ron, 7/16/19

Comments: These shoes harm your feet, your knees, and are by far the worst Asics shoes I have come across.
From: Sam, 7/10/19

Comments: Very disappointed in these shoes. I was a huge Asics advocate, and would tell anyone who would listen about how great their shoes are because they have been so great for my feet and my game, and my wallet given their durability. These shoes were not consistent with my past shoes. They had a click in the front portion of the shoe, due to the plastic that ran from the toe to the tongue. They also created abrasions on my feet, even after being worn in. This model isn't recommended.
From: Ryan, 7/9/19

Comments: These shoes are noisy shoes, every time I run I hear the clicking. They are also not comfortable.
From: ST, 7/8/19

Comments: I am a huge Asics fan, but I am not impressed with this shoe, at least for me. The Solution Speed FF did not fit me well and actually ended up hurting my knees. I have gone back to an old pair of Asics Gel Solution Slam 3 and they work just fine even if they are a year older. I am male, wear a size 10, have a wider foot, and am a mild pronator, so I use arch supports. The very same arch supports that fit perfectly in the Gel Solution Slam 3 don't fit at all into this shoe, my foot would just want to pop out because of way the shoe and lacing is designed. The alternative was to use the extra lacing holes, and really tighten down the shoe a lot, but that cuts off of circulation. The laces are very short to begin with, and when you use the extra lacing holes, they are really tiny and impossible to tie a proper knot. I tried these shoes without the arch supports, and my ankles felt like they were bucking inwards and this even injured my knees. The shoe is very light, but I think the tradeoff Asics made was not the right one for pronators, the cost of keeping you safe and injury free. I really tried to like this shoe and played with them half dozen times, hoping they would improve as they broke in, but no such luck.
From: Sur, 7/1/19

Comments: The popping noise is super annoying. I'm relieved to read I'm not the only one that had this happen. They look great, but not great for tennis. Until then I'll keep trying Asics and hope for better luck.
From: Van, 6/30/19

Comments: I just received a pair of these and the left shoe had the clicking sound. The left shoe in particular also had a few places that seemed to wear on my foot just trying them on. They were also stiffer than the Speed 2 and 3 feeling like they would require a prolonged break in period, where the Speed 2 and 3 had none. I returned them before wearing them outside, fearing the clicking noise would not go away. I've probably owned 10 pairs between the Speed 2 and 3 and they've been my favorite shoe of all time.
From: John, 6/13/19

Comments: Totally agree with Greg as well. I had the clicking sound too with my pair, but it never went away. These are not as good as the Solution Speed 2 or 3.
From: Jeff, 6/3/19

Comments: Shoe is very light, speedy, and comfortable. I did experience the clicking sound, but it seemed to go away once broken in. I had them in both hard and clay versions. However, over a 6 month period I tweaked my knee twice and talking to a friend that wore them as well, he did the same thing. We came away that the shoe lacks lateral support. It's similar to a Speed 3 or even a running shoe. These shoes are fast and light, but if you're over 40 years old or just require good lateral support to go side to side, this may not be the shoe for you. I've gone back to the Gel Resolution 7s, which after having the 6s and 5s before that, I think I will stay with the Gel Resolution series.
From: Greg, 5/12/19

Comments: These shoes feel light and cushioned. There is a clicking or popping sound when walking. It happens in the forefoot when the shoe flexes. I tried a pair and had to return, I hope the 2nd pair would not have the problem.
From: Anonymous, 5/6/19

Comments: These are my first sneakers from Asics. I switched to them from adidas Ubersonic 2. As for comfort and amortization Ubersonics are worlds beyond FFs. Moving all over the court is a simple pleasure wearing FFs. The grip is awesome. Ventilation is not much better as compared with Ubersonic 2. Nevertheless I can point out some downsides: Very annoying popping and clicking in forefoot when moving. Hope this will fade away once sneakers are broken in. The sneakers are anatomically weird, I would say the midfoot is perfectly positioned and fixed. At the same time, the forefoot area is more roomy as of Ubersonic 2s, not critically though, but I'd prefer more tight it. The heel area came as a surprise. With straight lacing, the heel is not fixed and tends to move sideways. With ankle lock lacing, the one usually applied with running sneakers, the fit improves, but it is very sensitive. Shall I tie laces a bit tighter and I can feel the overpressure of laces on the instep. Loosen it a bit more, again heel badly fixed. If it all remains within a month, I shall give Vapor X a try.
From: Andrey, 4/18/19

Comments: Long time Nike user finally tried Asics. This is a tremendous shoe. They fit perfectly to size. My pair had the strange sound too. But only when walking; not on the court.
From: Mark, 4/15/19

Comments: The popping and clicking that I've read so much about is real and it is really annoying. I just received these shoes in the mail. Other than the popping, they are very comfortable. I would get the new FF2, but they are $160. I guess I'm going to keep these FF's and hope the popping goes away or gets better after they are broken in. I've been a Asics Speed Solution wearer for years, but this is a bit of a miss.
From: Patrick, 4/11/19

Comments: Sorry... Until Asics goes back to making tennis shoes that actually fit my narrow feet, I will no longer purchase Asics shoes. Love the brand, dislike the changes made to the FF shoe.
From: Mark, 3/27/19

Comments: These are great shoes with some quirks. After playing in Nike Vapors for years, I am not a fan of the Vapor X, thus I needed something new. Enter the Speed FFs. Cushioning and traction are excellent for a lightweight shoe. The outsole is holding up better than a Vapor 9 or 9.5. They feel very fast on the court. They do make a popping sound, but I have learned to ignore it. It gets better as they break in. A bigger issue is the heel fit. I have had to tie an ankle lock to make these shoes work, which is a new thing for me. Overall, the benefits far outweigh the drawbacks. This is my new shoe of choice.
From: Phil, 3/1/19

Comments: Why did Asics change a winning formula? I've been wearing this Speed Gel Resolutions for about eight or nine years and they have been the best tennis shoes I've ever worn on the court. I switch to the FF's because they are apparently the new model replacing the Speed Gel Resolution and I could not be more disappointed in the shoe. As everyone else says, they click when you run, which is completely obnoxious. Further they don't feel broken and immediately like a six has for almost a decade now. I've never gotten blisters on my feet yet I got blisters on my outside pinky toe. I have to switch brands after being a brand ambassador for years. I hope they fix this. I'm a 4.0-4.5 player that plays at least two times a week.
From: Seann, 2/18/19

Comments: These shoes felt very good (and light). However, straight out of the box there was a clicking sound in the forefoot when the shoe was flexing. I localized the noise to the forefoot flex after taking them off and hand flexing them. Very noticeable sound. Let's see what happens after further break-in.
From: David, 2/2/19

Comments: I am a 4.0 all court weekend player with a narrow foot, normal arch, size 11.5-12.0. The cons for the Solution Speed: they do not fit a narrow foot in the toe box where they are too wide and bulge. The lace system is unusual in that you have to lace up all the way to get the heel locked in. On the pro side they are plush with FF and the soles provide more grip on hard courts than prior versions. I previously wore the Gel Court FF. Other than being overpriced without a sole guarantee they were a very good all court shoe. I assume Asics is transitioning out of these, since there are few available for sale. The Gel Resolution 7 feel too high off the ground for an all court shoe, but would be fine for a baseliner or doubles player with a narrow foot. The flex point does not work for me and I have turned my ankle in them repeatedly. Sadly Asics does not make a shoe that fits me this season and I have worn them since the beginning. I wish they would leave their shoe that lasts/fits alone instead of tweaking it each season to disappoint the narrow vs. wide foot player, or make their shoes in different widths.
From: Dante, 1/28/19

Comments: This is my 3rd comment as I struggle to try and kill my "buyer's remorse". I am still rotating the Speed FF with my other Speed models. The FF doesn't get any better with time... they still "pop" loudly when you walk. I don't feel as stable in the FF. I don't feel as safe when charging after a ball, as I don't feel my footing on the court. But my real reason for this 3rd comment is this: these shoes feel hot in the soles. I have never been one to complain about hot feet, but I have come to believe that the foam is causing the bottom's of my feet to sweat. I suspect it is the same issue people have with a memory foam bed mattress. I hope Asics reads these comments as I am afraid they have killed my favorite line of shoes.
From: Paul, 1/17/19

Comments: Love the lightweight feel. Love the cushioning. Love the soft upper mesh material, it doesn't crush and bruise my toe nails like the Resolution 7s do. Hate the fit, the FFs are just too long, if I size down a half size the arch doesn't feel right - the Resolutions always fit me true to size. Also hate the FF's sole durability, not even half that of the Resolutions. Some sort of hybrid between these and the Resolutions would make this the perfect shoe.
From: Mike, 1/10/19

Comments: This is a follow-up to my 12/12/18 post... The popping sound quit after my 3rd try of the shoes. However, I didn't use them for about 2 weeks and the popping returned. Weird. I agree with the comment that the shoes seem "inordinately wide" in the middle. I have a narrow foot and the toe box is narrow enough, the shoe widens very much in the middle; I had some success by lacing them up very tight pulling in the middle area. To me, they appear cheaply constructed compared to the Speed 3. Even the shoe laces seem to be of lessor quality than prior models. On top of it all, they just don't look right.
From: Paul, 1/5/19

Comments: I have owned 6 pairs of the original Gel Solution Speed #1, and 3 pairs of the Speed 3. Never got to try the Speed 2. I have a narrow foot, and shorter toes, so I don't care for a large toe box like the Resolution. So the Speed #1 suited me fine, and I felt like I could go for a jog in them. Very fast. The Speed 3 I found to be not as quick, likely because of the attempt to stabilize the shoe with a wider heel. I still like, and use the Speed 3 but I fondly remember the Speed #1 and have a couple of pairs still useable. So I "bit" on a good deal and got a pair of the Speed FF. They crack and pop as others have reported. I feel like I am higher off the court due to the foam. My second attempt was a little better as I found I need to lace them up tighter. I don't understand the higher price as they appear to be cheaply constructed compared to the Speed 3. They appear to be "shapeless" when viewed from above like I am wearing two rectangular boxes. Buyers should stay away from the Speed FF.
From: Paul, 12/12/18

Comments: What happened, Asics? The fit of these shoes is all wrong for me. Sure, they're low profile, lighter and presumably help you run faster but these shoes fit like galoshes and, worse, they sound like it too. I've worn a 10.5 in Asics with no problem for the last six years. Right out of the box I played a match with these shoes and thought, "Hmm...these are just so-so." The toe box is a bit narrower than other Asics (e.g. Gel Resolution 6 and Speed) and yet the mid-section seems inordinately wide (which is perplexing). Still, they're stable enough and I gave them another go. I decided that I simply couldn't wait to take the off. Straight-up disappointing.
From:Byron, 10/19/18

Comments: I have owned all of the Solution Speeds so I decided to order these and try them. They do feel great right out of the box. I hit with them one day and they do stick a little more than the past versions. I like a little more give to my shoes. I am a 4.0 that plays at least 4 to 5 days a week. The other thing that I don't like about them so far is how loud they are. The rubber up front makes a popping sound when I walk or run. I have worn them for 3 straight days hoping that they would break in some but that hasn't happened yet. Hope that sound goes away and if not these will just go into the closet.
From:Erik, 10/9/18

Comments: Love these shoes! Great cushioning and arch support. Plenty of room in the toes. Also like the tread on these better than the other Asics. These do not have the little nipples that in my opinion are too grippy. These have the regular herringbone tread which I prefer. For that reason these are the only Asics I will buy the rest are too grippy and cause my feet to get stuck in one spot.
From:Chuck, 9/23/18

Comments: Not sure if there is a shoe out there today that better combines, lightweight, stability and comfort. It is wider in the mid/fore foot than the SS3 so fit may be an issue for those with narrow feet. That said, cushioning and comfort of the uppers is very, very good. Better than the SS3, more akin to the cushioning of the GR7 without the firm constrictive uppers of the SS3. Asics has made a "gameday shoe" that can be used for training on hard courts.
From:West, 9/18/18

Comments: I just got a pair of these recently and they felt comfortable from the get go. I have the previous version of this shoe and the update definitely has more cushion & comfort without sacrificing a good fit. This new version also feels a little more "solid" (felt like I was going to roll my toes in the previous version). Several years ago, I had versions of the Nike Vapor & I liked the snug fit. As the current Nike Vapor is nothing like the old versions & Adidas shoes always felt clunky to me (and my heels never felt secure-feet would come right out of Adidas shoes!). I figure these Asics are about as close as I can get to the old, old Nike Vapors but with more comfort & might be a little lighter as well.
From:Will, 9/11/18

Comments: I am a big fan of Asics tennis shoes. I alternate playing in the gel 7 and the speed 3. Both great shoes. I bought the new Solution Speed FF expecting to be wowed- but instead couldn't believe how this new line is so different and so much worse than the Asics standard of quality. They are much wider and give no lateral support at all. Like playing in mush. And they seem to have no cushioning. After three sets my back was killing me and both knees were sore. These are unfortunately going in the garbage.
From:Randy, 8/25/28

Comments: My primary shoe was the Nike Vapor 9.5s though sadly discontinued. I've worn Asics in the past which I found to be decent.  Was looking for a black pair of shoes. These shoes are comfortable and works with my wide feet. I found that the sole pattern is excellent on Har Tru courts as they don't get plugged up with clay if damp. The Nikes would on occasion. Along with this they are light in weight and offer good traction and stability. Less concern about durability and wear playing on clay. Happy with them though not the high premium prices for any of these tennis shoes nowadays.
From:Mike, 8/4/18

Comments: After wearing Asics Court FFs for the last two years and then briefly wearing the Adidas Ubersonic 2s I finally tried this update the one of my old favorites the Asics Speed line -- and I love them! I bit lighter and lower to the ground than the Court FFs and a lot more cushion and comfort than the Ubersonic 2s - without sacrificing any stabile on either front. As a larger player with aging knees, I got the speed and agility I wanted in the Ubersonic 2s along with the plush cushioning and breathability of the Court FFs in one shoe. Definitely recommend! This could be a classic in the making! I think the FF stands for Freaking Fantastic!

Comments: Very stiff out of the box with a very narrow toe box. These seemed much closer to the Res 3 than the Flight FF. I wore them for about 10 minutes around the house and knew they would not work for me. Too stiff & too narrow. Sticking w/ the Res 7.

Comments: After being a huge fan of the Solution Speed 2s, I was very disappointed with Solution Speed 3s. They were narrow and even ordered half size bigger, they were still inferior to the SS2s. Now, this Solution Speer FF is an amazing update!! Just got mine today and they are like the SS2s, but lighter and true to size! Highly recommend them!

Comments: These shoes grip! Almost too much! They feel great, light weight, and there is no hesitation from stopping to redirecting -- these shoes will keep up with you. They are my first pair of Asics and I'm coming from Nike and adidas. They fit a bit narrow to me since it's rubbing the pinky toe a bit which may cause me to try something else. They are fast shoes with a lot of grip!
