Overview

Improving on their standards of excellence, Selkirk releases the Vanguard 2.0 AvaLee Mach6 Pickleball Paddle. The elongated paddle shape, along with the extended  5.875 in. handle length provides realistic power, and also makes the AvaLee Mach6 a great option for those transitioning from a racquet sport, and/ or the player using a two-handed backhand. Like its predecessor the Vanguard, 2.0 AvaLee Mach6, features the same 15.9 mm. X5 Polypropylene Core - a cross-woven carbon fiber material resulting in a sweeter sweet spot and longer ball dwell time for point controlling shot accuracy. The major change relates to the 2.0 paddle's face which now features a Quantum-Carbon Fiber material. In addition, a layer of Pro-Spin technology improves the texture of the surface, increasing spin potential, while the Gen2 Durable Surface layer reduces loss of texture over time and extends the paddle face's longevity. An EdgeSentry edge guard is abrasion resistant, ensures paddle longevity, and also adds to the overall stability of the Vanguard 2.0 AvaLee paddle. The Geo Grip delivers a great blend of tack versus absorption, which is wrapped around a standard 4.25 in. grip size. If a bit more mass based power, stability and directional control is what you prefer, the mid-weight model (7.8-8.2 oz.) is the way to go. The lightweight version  (7.3-7.7 oz.) is geared towards the player seeking a higher degree of maneuverability for quicker reaction times at net and optimal control.
