Holbrook Power Pro Paddle Review
Delivering top-shelf performance, the Holbrook Power Pro features a Uni-Body design, improving on paddle durability, rigidity and thus energy return to the ball. Additionally, Holbrook allows the player to choose from a range of weight-based power (7.7 Š 8.0 oz.) and core-based power via a 12 mm, 14 mm or 16mm Polypropylene Honeycomb Core insert. The thinnest core will be a bit lighter and the most wind cheating, affording a faster swing speed and maximizing core-based power. In comparison, the 14 mm example slightly tones down the core energy return, with the thickest 16 mm model rewarding the player with the most mass-based power (stability) and a higher degree of control. Uni-Body Edgecraft Foam injected between the inside of the edge guard and outer edge of the core produces a plush sweetspot and also filters out any excessive vibration. HolbrookÕs use of Force-Tec Unidirectional T700 Carbon Fiber supplies long lasting, point-winning levels of spin, promoting the confidence for players to find those small seams of space between their opponents. Fans of the elongated paddle shape will enjoy its 16.5-inch length, and pairing the Holbrook Power Pro with a 5.5-inch handle allows the player to control the action all the way to the podium, using one or two hands on the paddle!
