In a "Champion's Mind," tennis great Pete Sampras opens up. Readers follow Pete's determination to become a force in tennis and his personal trials throughout his career, including the death of his coach. Among the book's most riveting scenes are the devastating early loss that led Pete to make a monastic commitment to the game, fierce on-court battles with Andre Agassi, and the triumphant last match of Pete's career at the finals of the 2002 US Open.

Comments: Great book by Pete. I was impressed by the Table of Contents and the commentary he gives about the game and his part in the game. Sampras talks about what guided him down the path he chose and to do it with class and dignity. Amazing athlete. He was a silent ambassador that let his actions and ability on the court woo people. I respect the way he gives his opponents credit and also what he gives as his own personal assessment as to why he won and what winning meant to him later on in his career. Very well worded book from an all-time great.
