Diadora's premium performance shoe blends support and stability, with comfort and improved ventilation. A great all-around option for all levels of players.
Diadora's premium performance shoe, the Speed B.Icon 2 gets updated with some slight changes to the upper and Diadora's anatomical insole for shock proof cushion. Taking the midsole superfoam from their premium running shoes and infusing it into the B.Icon, you'll find great shock absorption, while also being extremely light, and responsive. The D-Skin upper material hugs the foot uniformly to help maximize the support, and to reduce stress on pressure points. An outer hook on the lateral side of the shoe is connected to the lacing system, which helps to lock-in the heels, and boost support around the ankles. Tried and true Duratech 5000 rubber compound provides a high level of wear resistance, and plenty of traction on a variety of court surfaces.
- Upper: D-Skin technology encompasses Air Mesh for ventilation, with Net Skin on top to hug the foot with support.
- Midsole: DD Anima ultra light and responsive foam, provides a high level of cushion, and explosive energy return. CCB maximizes stability for aggressive changes of direction. Anatomical shock proof EVA Insole for enhanced comfort underfoot. Anatomical designed insole formed out of shockproof EVA foam, for plush comfort.
- Outsole: Duratech 5000 rubber compound in a modified herringbone pattern for optimal traction and durability on all court surfaces.
- Color: White / Grey

Nice look with a bit of break-in timeLooks very stylish. The grip is great on hardcourt. The size runs a bit tight on pinky toes so unless the narrow feet, choose half size bigger.

Runs a bit small at first but after break-inRuns a bit small at first but after the break-in, it feels good. The cushion is about correct in fast response and the upper is solid but a little hot. It is a good value shoe.

Tight top in toe boxJust bought the shoe last week and slipped them on hard court with a back board. First my right small toe on top began to feel irritated after around 15 minutes. A few days later on Har-tru the same happened with my left foot. I normally have 12.5 shoes but bought 13.0 here as Diadoras in the past years have been narrow. Besides the tight top on top of toes the shoe felt very stable with no chance of ankle roll save if you hit a curb going full tilt and sliding. If you've a narrow foot or a thin footer you may avoid the inside of shoe rubbing the top of toes. I'm hoping with some more break-in these $160 shoes will deliver on the promises made by many reviewers

Magic is gone.I used to love Diadora. They were Italian supremacy in tennis shoe form. Like the Ferragamo of tennis shoes. That was 20 years ago. Now they seem cheap, gimmicky and have lost that immediate luxurious comfort. These were on sale. I took one last chance but they disappointed. Compared to most all other brands they are plasticky, hard to thread and they don’t fit well. I tried them on (yuck) and immediately put them back in the box to return. The magic is gone

Diadora Speed B Icon 2It is a very stylish and comfortable shoe. The $159 price tag was a bit much and I think I was paying for the name more that the cost of the shoe. If the shoe lasts a few years then it was worth the price. We will see.

Not Durable! My son loved the fit and cushion of this shoe. As a parent, I hated the durability. In 2 weeks, my son put a huge hole on the bottom of his shoe exposing the midsole where you could see his socks. To be honest my son plays a lot of tennis/tournaments, and goes through shoes. But this shoe has been the worst. I would have been happy if we got a month or two. But two weeks will not cut it.
Sizing issuesLast year Tennis Warehouse recommended buying a half size down than your normal shoe size and they fit my feet perfectly. This year it said true to fit. I called TW to ask if the last of the shoe had changed since they changed sizing recommendations. I was assured that the last was the same as the previous version so I ordered the size I had used for the first version. That was wrong. The last seems like it has changed and I should have gone the half size back up to my normal shoe size. Otherwise, I love this shoe when it fits correctly. I plan on sticking with it.
Awesome ShoeSuper comfortable shoe for an all court player. Good stability, easy to slide on hard courts, and plush feeling. For reference I’ve worn adidas Barricade, Nike GP Turbo, and Asics Court FF 2 and this is my favorite of the bunch.
Super cushionI owned the previous version of this shoe. It was probably the most comfortable tennis shoe I've ever worn. It was actually too soft for moving around the court safely. It just had too much give/cushion. However, it did feel amazing on my feet. I eventually wore them out and after wearing several other brands I started to develop foot problems, namely a Morton's neuroma in one foot and capsulitis in the other. I went back to the worn out B.Icons and the problems went away. So I ordered this new version. They appear to be as cushy but to offset the instability they made them very tight in the forefoot. Too tight to be comfortable. I sent them back and am going to try a whole size larger.
Not a shoe for competitive movers but (if the size is right) a nice shoe for comfort.
Disappointed in the 2nd versionI was so looking forward to the release of this shoe as I love the 1st version of the Speed b.Icon. This updated version feels almost the same except the toe box is now narrower at the end. This made it so horribly uncomfortable for me with my little toe being smashed, that I had to return them and started looking for leftover stock of the 1st version b.Icon. If you have a narrower forefoot, you will be fine and probably love these shoes.
