The Fila Axilus 3 carries on what we liked from the second generation with support, stability, speedy-feel, and improves upon underfoot cushioning and durability. The fit has been updated with this third generation, creating a more snug and glove-like feel on top of your feet. The upper of these shoes is well protected in the drag zones, an abrasion guard above the toes and medial side of the forefoot, while underneath that structure there is a soft mesh liner and a padded mesh tongue. The midsole has been thickened for a smoother ride underfoot, and the TPU Shank ensures that you will have stability when changing directions. The Fila signature Ever-Grind rubber compound supplies a high level of durability, has been beefed-up in the high wear zones, and for this update is formed into a multi-directional tread pattern, creating optimal balance between grip and sliding capabilities.

comfortable and supportiveI have one painful foot and it loves these shoes. I feel very stable and supported while playing tennis and don't notice the foot pain.
Best budget shoe on TWCan’t find anything I don’t like with this shoe. They last about 50 hours and feel great the entire ride.
Not so wide nowI just got a pair in dark blue. The pair looked improved from the previous version. The outsole looked that they added more protection for toe draggers and a little more structure in the hill for stability I guess. HOWEVER, the toe-box width looked and felt smaller. I’M SO DISAPPOINTED. Fila Axilus was my go to for my a little wider than normal feet. I haven’t tried them on court yet. I hope I do fine with this less width. The price was tempting at the discounted value of $45. Sometimes, I wonder why it goes down so much. Design issues? Anyhow, I am going to change the insoles for a better and thinner ones and see how it goes. If it works, I get such a good deal for the price.
Comfortable but not durableThe shoes are comfortable out of the box. But, after about of month of play, the tread is completely smooth on the inside of each foot. Had been wearing Asics gel resolution 9s which lasted 4+ months.
Fantastic buyI ordered these shoes in the navy blue color over the phone on 5/21/25 and received them on 5/22/25. I live about 4.5 hours north of their San Luis Obispo warehouse. Was afraid they wouldn't be comfortable because of the low price. I tried them on as soon as they came and wore them on carpet in order to see how they felt, which was great. Made the decision to wear them for my doubles drop-in last night and they are super comfortable and very supportive. Dont let the price point fool you. This is the first time Ive worn Fila shoes; I tried on the model that Big 5 sells, which were not comfortable and actually were more expensive than the Axilus 3. I do like the dark color ; I tend to wear white tennis shoes but those get dirty easily. I normally dont buy shoes online since I have hard-to-fit feet ; the last pair of tennis shoes I bought were Adidaas Barricades in grey and then these, and I got really lucky both times.
Hideous colorways, great support and fitVery similar to the Gel Resolution at less than 1/3 the price. I bought over a dozen pair because these things fit so well and the clearance price is absurdly good. Great protection in the forefoot and my achilles tendinitis (heel abrasion induced) has all but gone away. Best shoe I've used since the Gel Res 8.
Taking off one star for the colorways. Horrible. Cannot believe someone got paid to design these. The only one even close to "good-looking" is the white/crimson one. The Axilus Lux are very stylish but lack the rubber toecage, so why not just try to make the Axilus 3 look somewhat similar to the Lux? Makes no sense.
Too narrowAxilus 2 forefoot has nice wide volume. It was ideal for my wide foot and I play a lot. It was my favorite tennis shoe ever! I bought 7-8 pairs over a couple of years just so I would have some for the future. This version 3 is too narrow for my wide foot. Not good. I tried them and am not happy. I will continue to buy up the leftover v2’s until they are all gone because unless Fila goes bk to a wider size, I’m going to have to find a new wide shoe.
Great all around shoeYou can tell FILA had the ASICS Gel Res 9s in their sights when creating this shoe. It does everything those did for half the cost. A little less durability, but they play identically. If you are searching for a replacement of that shoe, look no further.
Fila tennis shoesVery high level of cushioning, very comfortable and stylish. Would be nice if they would last a little longer. But definitely would recommend.
Feels great, very comfortableTried only once but this shoe feels great, very well cushioned. I felt very stable while playing and breaks in immediately. Runs little loose but double socks will be perfect fit. I thought it will be much heavier than Asics Solution Speed FF 3 which I was using, but didn't feel the difference.
