This spin-monster comes around fast! Updated with Hy-bor technology for 2026.

Introducing the Extreme MP 2026! Specializing in spin and power, this racquet is ideal for intermediate players, but it will also tempt the more advanced ball striker in the market for speed. At only 11.2 ounces strung and boasting a sub 320 swingweight, the Extreme MP comes around fast on groundies, with the kind of spin-friendly targeting that puts the lines in play. Factor in the easy power, and you have the ingredients to keep your opponents squarely on defense. For 2026, Head adds Hy-Bor to the layup, a material technology that uses compression-resistant boron fibers in the shaft to improve stability and energy transfer (think power). Auxetic 2 in the yoke and handle further enhances the feel and response. As with the previous generation, this model features Graphene Inside, reinforcing the frame in key areas for added power and stability. The Extreme MP also has Spin Grommets, which enable greater string movement for increased snapback, and a Spin Shaft, which increases torsional stability for less frame wobble on off-center impact. Ultimately, with improvements to the feel, the 2026 Extreme MP is definitely worth a test drive, especially if you crave a lightning fast racquet with user-friendly access to spin and power.

Great update! Power, Stability and SpinGreat update from the last version. For reference I have used the previous version of the MP, I have the Solinco Blackout and am a previous Vcore user. Big fan of this latest version. The added stability gives me more confidence with the racquet. Still a lot of power and spin just with better feel. I am using the new confidential soft string at 52 pounds. First time using the string and it worked out great. The paint job looks amazing in person.

A solid racquet - Not for everyoneI really wanted to like this racquet and was really looking forward to it but after trying it out for 2 weeks with Wilson NXT Power 17g at 44lbs this frame wont work for me. I am going back to the Head Extreme 2024 MP because its a little more forgiving and generating power takes less effort. The Head Extreme 2026 is a solid racquet overall. The RFA rating on the Head Extreme MP 2024 is 66 and it feels like but the RFA rating of 67 on the 2026 Head Extreme feels more like 69-72. I do like my racquets a little more flexed at 64-66 RFA but this feels way to stiff for very little difference in power generation between the 2 models. This racquet is ideal for advanced players NTRP 4.5 and up who have really big swings. I would recommend trying this racquet out at a lower tension with soft polys to get a feel for it and then experimenting with different strings and tension. I am high performance tennis coach, a 5.0+ player who reached a world ranking in ITF Men's 35 category.
