Overview
The latest update to the Speed MP doubles down on the outstanding feel and controllable power that has long defined the Speed franchise. Compared to the Speed Pro, the Speed MP 2022 is not only lighter and faster, it also packs a more modern and spin-friendly string pattern. Ball feedback is impressive thanks in part to its classic straight beam and sub 65-RA. For 2022, Head keeps Graphene 360+, which combines the stability and power of Graphene 360 with SpiralFibers in the lower head for a cleaner feel at impact. Head also adds a uniquely flexible Auxetic construction in the yoke, which calibrates ball feedback to impact force. Intermediate and advanced players looking for controllable power and great feel will love this one.

Great new speedI bought a pair to replace my 2018 head speed MS. This new keep the same sharp as always
Mp racquetBetter than the new version
We Hope don't stop selling it
best racquet I've ever ownedI've been a long time fan of the radical series and now that I'm no longer a young casual player the mp speed feels perfect for me. I've been letting my friends try it and they all agree the impact and reaction of the mp speed just feels great.
Control and precisionI use only Head racquets since meeting Rod Laver in 1972 who gifted me one of his. Have tried others like Dunlop, Donnay, Tad and Davis and Wilson. Head suits me just fine. This Speed MP is dpot on for control and precision. I am keeping it st 57 lbs while I use my Radicals at 42, 44 and 50. Each for different Head sizes and other factors. Am using Lexilon ALU Rough 1.6 which gives lots of spin. But this Speed I'm keeping at 57. It just hits the areas I'm aiming for. Thank you Tennis Warehouse. Great service.
Perfect Swing weightHave the pro and the mp both great racquets just after a long set the Pro gets heavy the MP then goes to work.
Best RacquetGreat overall
Good!I used a Pure Drive (it's also good for People who want to start playing tennis) and now I feel strain on my arm cause I'm getting old. I have to find another racquet and this racquet made my arm comfortable. I waited to buy the old version of 2022 and now I know why people like this.
2022 Speed MPAll around great tennis racquet. Provides substantial topspin and power without too much effort, but enough control to maintain consistency. Comfortable for those with elbow/shoulder pain. The 2022 model is a better value proposition relative to the 2024 model and provides similar playability. This racquet is suitable for a wide range of skill levels in my opinion. It's great for a 4.5 but is probably also great for a 3.0. No specific drawbacks that I have been able to identify.
Son ApprovedBought this for my son. Had played with a Boom MP last season and I noticed some instability on his shots. The Head Speed MP gives him some more confidence with the heftier swing weight so he can swing big!
Great tennis racquet for intermediate playersLove this new racquet that I got last month. My old racquet was Head Graphene XT Instinct MP and I feel like this one gives more power for me.
