Similar to the Lav, the midsole has Fresh Foam X and will feel plush underfoot and help add energy into every move you make. A reinforced heel counter enhances the fit around the heel and ankle region, while the bottom of the shoe provides a high level of wear resistance on the gritty hard courts while the NDurance rubber provides good grip but also allows sliders to skid into their shots. Pleasantly SurprisedI have enjoyed New Balance shoes for many years, but had never worn them for tennis until I ordered this pair as a result of Nike's discontinuation of the Court Zoom NXT. They are light and cushiony, and the toe box is generous, but not too big. They are stable, and the soles are really solid - I believe they will wear well on the hard courts. I ordered the same size as I normally wear in other brands (Nike, Asics) and they fit well - pretty true to size. One tiny little complaint: the laces are really long! I have to double tie them to keep them from dragging on the court. I will definitely buy another pair!
