Customer Reviews
Not sure yetI've worn vapor pros for the last few years and loved them. It was time for a new pair, and I looked at some of the video reviews on the website and decided I'd stay with them.
I'm not sure how these will work eventually, but right now they seem to need a significant break-in period. My feet were pretty sore after a two-hour double session. And the last couple times I've switched back to my old sneakers halfway through. Right now, the uppers feel very comfortable and more cushioned than before, but the soles create an uncomfortable hotspot and mild pain under the ball of my foot. If they get fully broken in, this may change (hope this is the case because they're expensive) then I'll adjust my rating. Sizing feels accurate..
What did they do to this shoe? This shoe fits well apart from the widest part of the shoe, where it strangles my feet. I loved the Vapor pro 2’s!! Vapor Pro 3’s make me dread tennis. I thought they’d break in, but after 3 months, they are still quite painful. I’d return them if I could. New shoes on the way. Vapor 3’s be damned.
Nike vaporThese shoes are more comfortable than previous versions of Nike Vapor shoes. The shoe tongue once again has padding making it more comfortable for the top of the foot. Along with comfort, they also provide stability.
Ouch. Why would you change a great shoe? These are so much more narrow than the last Vapor Pro 2’s. I’ve worn them a bunch in hopes that they’d break in, and they have some, but I cannot wait to get them off when my tennis is done. My feet hurt! I tried, but I think I’m ready to shelf these things.
Great new versionThese are a nice update of my old Nike Vapor Pros. Fit is true to size, comfortable and lightweight. Feel low to the ground, which is good for my ankle instability.
Cushioning is not as good as previous versionWhile this version of the vapor 3 fits more like the version offered 2 years ago (slightly narrower toe box) the cushioning in the ball of the foot feels almost non existent after playing for even a few minutes. The back of the heel cushioning is great so they fit snuggly without rubbing but if you buy these expect to purchase your own insoles.
Not for wide feetIt's a pretty shoe and seemingly comfortable at first but feel the pinch on my wide feet after a short while- since the side is made of plastic there is no give and remains quite uncomfortable for my wide feet even after more than 20 hours of play unfortunately.
