Customer Reviews
From ASICS GR 9 to thisSolid, durable shoe with good fit. Had to transition from Gel Resolution 9 because of poor 10 reviews. No regrets
Be a Prince and wear the best!I've played tennis for 60 years and I've worn out plenty of good and bad tennis shoes.
These fit best*, support best**, and wear the best*** of any I've ever owned!
* - my shoe size 9, medium width and that's why I buy these in a size 9.
** - the shoes are supportive and I simply never have foot pain, the toe box provides ample room for my toes and enough hold to not jam my toes during hard play.
I purchase after market insoles (SuperFeet - Green) to maximize my comfort!
*** - I play exclusively on Har Tru with these sneakers so I get a couple of years out of them and I have to replace the insoles every year. Then the become my hardcourt shoes where I use them to coach our local junior players.
I bought them while I was vacationing in Florida. (Probably my last visit for a while!)
Excellent Support.Great shoe for me (6 feet 185). Glad for this upgrade. I have several pair right now that include new ones ready to go. Extremely cost effective at this price point. Just don’t tell TW that they have a price error on their site on this item.
T22sI have issues with my feet and with these shoes I'm able to continue playing pickleball with comfort. There the best.
Prince T22.5 tennis shoeThis product fits well, provides excellent support, is stylish without being gaudy, holds up well, and is priced reasonably. I will keep buying and wearing this shoe until they stop making it.
Prince T-22.5Have used this shoe for several years and am very satisfied. Tennis Warehouse guarantee of 6 months is easy to work with. Highly recommend it.
ReviewDurable tennis shoe
Better than the originalThe Prince T22.5 are a step up from the original T22 because they are noticeably lighter. Where the originals were a solid shoe, they still felt a little clunky. The only two problems I found with the T22.5 were the laces, and how they were laced out of the box. The laces were "spongy," and didn't hold unless I double knotted them. The other problem was even weirder. You have to tighten the laces from the inside and across rather than from the outside up. It's difficult to explain but after wearing tennis shoes for 20 years, it freaked me out to say the least. But other than that it was a great shoe.

Shoes at Tennis WarehouseThe Prince T22.5 is a great shoe that "takes a licking and keeps on ticking" and Tennis Warehouse has a great price and quick delivery. I have had about six pairs over the recent years and will continue to buy them as long as they are available.

Very comfortable Tennis shoesI'm a 60-year-old man with a 4.0 tennis rating, standing 5'10" tall, weighing 191 pounds, and wearing a size 12.0 shoe. Playing on hard courts for hours, I experienced no foot or ankle soreness, thanks to the excellent cushioning and support of Prince shoes. These top-tier shoes provide exceptional protection and comfort. Plus, I really appreciate the six-month sole warranty — definitely worth trying!

Comments: Bottom line: these run narrower than the T22. I actually measured the width of the rubber sole across the ball of the foot, and for size 13 shoes the T22.5 is more than 1/2-inch narrower than the T22. So these didn't work for me. I've worn the T22 for years. I'm a big guy - 6'4" and 250-lb - and the support given by the T22 is a good tradeoff for me vs the weight. But, my son has the lighter T22.5, and loves them. The T22 was out of stock, so decided to try the T22.5. But, as I stated, the sole looks the same but is actually narrower, and they didn't work.

Comments: Best tennis shoe I've worn so far. Light, good ankle support, long lasting (6 months so far).

Comments: I hate blind buying online. I have wide feet and when I tried out this shoe it just feels so narrow. I tried doing my usual route walking around the park, and I just had to turn around halfway through because this shoe was just squishing my pinky toe. If I can't even warm up in this shoe, then forget about playing tennis. I do not recommend buying for people with wide feet.

Comments: I have worn T22 shoes for years and loved them. The T24 "upgrades" were a short-lived failure, and the T22.5 seems to be on the same trajectory. They are much narrower and hurt my feet so bad, that I returned them before ever wearing them on the court. I will be switching to a different brand.

Comments: Also disappointed. The ankle support was thin and too rigid, developed ankle pain and bruising after years of glee in the T22. They were unwearable.

Comments: Have owned several pair of the T22 shoes. These new T22.5 are not comfortable out of the box. Takes several hours to fully break in and still not as comfortable as the original. I will not be buying any more of the new T22.5.

Comments: I agree with the previous reviews. I've worn the T22 for years and loved them. I thought I'd try this version and what a disappointment they are. They feel like a very cheap version of the old model. I ordered the same size I use for the T22 and these are too wide and have to be laced very tightly. The material is cheap and has a plastic feel. Today, trying to tighten the laces they completely came apart and frayed. These are a joke.

Comments: I've been wearing T22 shoes for 10 years, switching to the T22 Lite shoes a couple of years ago. Just tried the T22.5 for the first time. Loved the T22 shoes and the T22 Lite shoes even more. This new version, T22.5 pales in comparison. One and done for me on the T22.5 shoes. Please go back to the others Prince Corporation.

Comments: I have to agree with most of the comments. I have used the T22 forever and wanted to try this version. Really don't like them. They do feel like plastic shoes. Not a fan of this version. I'll go back to the original T22 shoes right away.

Comments: I've used Prince T22 for a few years now and always bragged about how comfortable they were. These feel like hard plastic shoes opposed to something as comfortable as my previous pairs of Prince shoes. I was excited for this Lite version, but after a few plays I'll be going back to the previous model for my next purchase.

Comments: I used the previous model T22 and loved them; this updated model, not so much. First in the size description it says true to fit, not really. I ordered my normal size and they were tight when I put them on and thought they would break in, they haven't. On quick stops my toes feel like they are being smashed, the shoes are way too small. Back to Asics.

Comments: Just bought these new T22.5 shoes and used once. This model is a failure as compared to the T22 shoes in my opinion, I bought at least seven pairs of T22 shoes before. Very stiff and uncomfortable.

Comments: I usually play with adidas or KSwiss tennis shoes, but I love the look of these black and yellow Prince shoes, so I decided to grab a pair and check them out. I played in a match today and they were the best tennis shoes I've ever worn. The cushioning is noticeably more plush than any other shoes. Not a thin sole, but a thick, stable, durable outsole. I usually wear through my outsoles quickly on hard courts, but now I know why these have a six month outsole guarantee. The outsole is thick, solid, and seems like it will outlast any other tennis shoes I've worn. I wear a size 10.5 and they fit perfectly. My feet didn't slide in these shoes. Felt stable side to side and front to back. It actually hugged my foot like a custom fit. It's also nice that they included two pairs of laces, black or yellow, to choose from, which was a nice touch. I have never worn the T22 shoes and it seems from reviews these have a lighter material on top, but there is no need for anything heavier to keep the feet in place, it's just the right amount of stability and breathability. There might be lighter shoes out there, but I wouldn't want anything at all to change on these shoes. 10 out of 10. I am an aggressive serve and volleyer in my 40's.

Comments: Love the old T22 shoes. Couldn't wear the T22 Lite because the shoes' lasts were very different from the regular T22, much narrower. But my teenage son loved the T22 Lites. Well, this new T22.5 is an updated T22 Lite with regards to fit; appears to be nearly identical to the T22 Lite, in fact, with updated materials. So, it turned out to be too narrow for me, and I'm returning them, but keeping the pair for my son. Toe protection for the T22.5 looks superior to the T22 Lite, and that was a problem spot for my son, with the toe wearing through before the sole. But I can't confirm that yet because he hasn't played in them yet. So if you liked the T22 Lite, this T22.5 should make you happy.
