Very good for 290, beware of the grip sizeVery good racquet for the smaller frame player. It's pretty whippy. It's not very head light so it does add a little bit of punch. But, beware of Tecnifibre grip sizes - they are smaller than every other brand in my experience. I got a #2 and WITH an overgrip the circumference measures for a size #1. Go up one size.

Impressive for 290 grI'm a 52 years old player, playing tennis since 12. My history has been around Head Prestige and Wilson Blade during last years. Swapped to this TF40 model not really convinced and having not great experiences with Tecnifibre's racquets. This racquets changed my mind 100% about this company, the racquet is fast, great feeling, super maneuverable due to it's low swing weight, very stable in all shots including volleys... and it offers plenty of control, I will say it's a frame you should give a try!!

Very whippy and actually good powerFigured on working with lighter racquets, and then adding lead where needed. Over 60 player 4.0 doubles, I have the TF40 315G, good racquet but I can't bring it around as quick so experimentation with lower weight 290-300G, seems to be working, I have 2 Volkls in the 285-300G range and good racquets.

Control RacquetI been testing it so far and it is great for players that like more control than spin and power. Very soft and light
