Overview

Introducing the TF40 305 (16x19)! With this racquet, Tecnifibre introduces a new model to the TF40 family. Unlike the original TF40 305 (launched in 2019), this racquet packs a modern 16x19 string pattern, giving it easier access to spin along with a slightly higher launch angle for easier depth. It also has the phenomenal control, pocketing and feel of the first generation TF40s. Although this model is lighter than the TF40 315 (16x19), it packs a higher swingweight (321-RDC), making it slightly better at plowing through the ball or redirecting higher levels of pace. That said, it still has enough speed for whipping up heavy spin, hitting shots on the run or reacting quickly at net. Technologies include a stable RS Sharp beam along with Dynacore XTC for extra touch, dwell time and pocketing. This racquet also has Foam Inside for a more solid feel at impact. Ultimately, with its impressive combination of spin, precision and speed, this is a great option for intermediate and advanced ball strikers. The great feel at impact is a nice bonus.

Good all around racquetI fell in love with this racquet the first time I tried it, and soon bought one. A different but positive feel from my head-heavy last racquet. Nice balance of power and control. My only gripe is that after just two sessions the bottom of the grip loosened to the point I had to put epoxy under it to keep it in place.

Stable and directGreat feel and stability with its foam filled core. Also nice control as pattern is closed more than some 16x19’s. Not a spin monster if that’s what you’re looking for and cosmetics may be off putting for some. Overall a great stick.

Comfort and ControlThis is my first Tecnifibre racquet. Very comfortable with good control. But definitely it has lower power vs other 98 sq inch racquets.

Love this spinny, plowy, modern fun stick!Absolutely love this stick! A great transitional racquet for players moving from 18x20 to 16x19 as the center pattern is actually still pretty dense. That said, it's got lots of spin potential and also a bit of free power compared to where I came from (2010 6.1 BLX 18x20). Have tried it with NRG2, Multifeel, and Dunlop Iconic All multifilaments as well as Luxilon ALU Power.

Light frame with control and powerI love this racquet! It was an easy transition from my RF frame. I chose the 16x19 string pattern because it matched my current frame. My serve has improved and it’s easier to volley with.

Almost perfect!I play in the mountains of Colorado at 9,300 feet. This racquet has all the control and feel that I need to keep the ball in the court and where I want it to go in this thin air. Easy to create spin, and is a super comfortable racquet that just just feels great at impact. Inspires confidence such that I can go after shots and attack the ball.

Best All Around Control RacquetI've owned multiple 16x19 control frames (Wilson Blade, Head Radical MP, Yonex Vcore pro 97) and the TF40 is by far my favorite. The touch and feel is exceptional and the foam filled center makes this frame feel softer than RA notes. The sweet spot is well defined and stable even on off-center shots. The strung balance is a little headlight enabling great maneuverability but still nice for hammering ground strokes and solid volleys. I love returning serves with this frame, swing away !

Fairly nice racquetBought on a whim due to sale price. First time using this brand. A little heavier than expected but I’ve been playing with lighter racquets the last 10+ year. Overall far happy with product. Nice tacky grip but 4 stars because I had to re-grip it already as the grip was poorly overlapped and the bands separated exposing plastic.

OverlookedI've read reviews and comments that say this racquet is for advanced intermediate players because of its 98-inch head and lower power. I'm a fifty-something 3.5 doubles player, and for my modest game it strikes a nice balance between power, maneuverability, and control, and also between comfort and responsiveness. I have a hybrid eastern/semi-western grip, and that's about as far as you can go with the more rectangular grip, though. Razor and Razor Soft pair really well.

Not that smoothI came in from dunlop cx200 tour into this as a trial. I am feeling the shock come through on impact.. I have ordered the 18x20 version to check its behavior. TW did a great job with stringing and shipping.the best place to shop tennis stuff.
