Overview

Introducing the lightest member of the V-Cell 8 family! Like the previous generation, this racquet is great for improving intermediates, especially if they place a premium on maneuverability. It should also work well for the dedicated beginner who is looking to perfect the mechanics of pace and spin. For this update  Volk adds extra V-Cell material throughout the shaft and head to create a more comfortable, stable and responsive hitting experience. Like the previous generation, this racquet's butt cap and innovative REVA based handle system have been meticulously designed to deliver a smoother, more arm-friendly feel at impact. On groundstrokes, this stick feels crisp, lively and accurate. It also swings faster than the V-Cell 8 while delivering the kind of spin-friendly precision that inspires confidence on full swings. The low sub 305-RDC swingweight makes this racquet great for scrambling on defense of hitting winners on the run.  The speed also comes in handy on service returns and at net where this stick comes around with lightning speed to deliver easy targeting.  Players looking to serve m ore aggressively will find enough pop, spin and precision to coax weak replies. With this update, Volkl keeps a good thing going. The V-Cell 8 is a great option for the rising player looking to play more aggressive tennis.

Feels great so far.I bought this racquet and strung it with K-bomb SSO at 45 pounds to help combat my tennis elbow. It swings easy and hits well. I might get a bit of soreness for the day, but it's unnoticeable the next. I now know what people are talking about when they say, "pocketing the ball," likely due to the strings and tension more than the racquet itself. The racquet is very good looking and comes with some nice extras (a drawstring racquet bag and a Völkl branded dampener).

Good racquet to go to if you want to drop wtI added tape to the hoop for some more power, 63 yr old doubles player 4.0. Paring down to 285-300 gram racquets, not a bad idea I like Volkl always have although it's not a popular racquet compared to others. Very accurate, good control, added lead tape at 12, 10 and 2 for a bit more power, easier to go lighter and add weight rather than going heavy and you can't make it lighter.

Volkl V-Cell 8Bought this for my daughter who is just starting to learn the game. Light weight and great reaction for a beginner. The only downfall is the delivery company was late delivery it but I took it up with them. It was three days late.

ComfortI’m a 67-year-old 3.0 guy with tennis elbow. I listed my info and the specs from my favorite old racquets and had an AI program suggest 10 racquets. This was number 6 on the list and was 50% off! I’ve used it for a month now playing about 10 hours a week. I love it. Feels like I’ve been playing with it forever. It is very comfortable, gives me all the power and control I need . Thinking about buying a second one

Light but solidMy first light (sub 300 grams) racquet that I had not modified from stock. In other words, it was designed to be light in the first place. I like how solid it feels on contact while being easier to whip the head on strokes and serves. I an 6'2" but 83 years old, so head speed is hard for me to maintain with normal-weight racquets over a long match. Strings are Solinco Tour Bite 20 gauge at 50 pounds. I get more spin with this racquet than any other in my experience.

Smashing my forehandI've been mostly a Wilson fan. Tried Volkl VCell and loved it. I've always struggled with consistency on my forehand and this frame helped me crush it on court. I was worried the 285g would be too light but I had so much free power with this one. Didn't lack in stability either.

Not goodBeen a Volkl fan for years. I have 2 Volkl Vfeel 8 285 and they feel great, sure a bit too much power but thats fun sometimes. Anyways thought I would try the Vcell, huge mistake. Doesn't even feel like the same racquet but all they did was add more Vcell to the same frame. For what ever reason the Vfeel line is much better so i would suggest finding an old Vfeel until Volkl makes a better update.
