Yonex adds a new model to the VCORE family for 2026!

Meet the 2026 VCORE 100D 8th Gen! With this racquet, Yonex adds a new model to the VCORE family. Defined by its 16x20 string pattern, the 100D adds a more precise and controlled response to the powerful VCORE formula, making it easier to maximize stroke speed when loading the ball with pace and spin. Although quite spin-friendly, this stick reserves its greatest charms for those who like driving the ball through the court. Like the rest of the 2026 VCORE family, the 100D features an updated beam design, offering improved aerodynamics along with added power and stability. Additional features include wider grommet holes for increased string movement and greater snapback, as well as an inner trench at the racquet's tip for added flex and pocketing. To help with comfort, the 100D integrates a thin, elastic film (Servo Filter) within the layers of NAMD FlexForce Graphite, allowing the frame to flex optimally while also smoothing out the harshest vibrations. This effect is complemented by a Vibration Dampening Mesh integrated into the handle, which further softens impact. The most important technology is Yonex's iconic ISOMETRIC head shape, giving this racquet a more forgiving response than conventionally shaped equivalents. Ultimately, the VCORE 100D offers some welcomed control to the VCORE formula while also delivering the signature plush feel for which the line is known.

The New Kid does not disappoint! As with any model line update from Yonex, in particular, hasn't been shy about releasing an all new model. For 2026, it's all about the all new VCore 100D. It seemingly fills the gap between the 100 & 98. This frame has managed to take the core strengths of each, added that much needed 20th cross and a few tweaks in the numbers producing an exceptional racquet. With the addition of 5g and a 20th cross string along with a slightly more head light balance, the 100 has been transformed into an amazing frame! The added stability, plough through, and much improved ball control are on full display with the 100D. Gone is the inconsistent launch angle, allowing one to go after the ball with greater veracity and confidence. This coupled with the uptick in pop and stability produces a heavier, more consistent ball. This is achieved with minimal loss to its naturally aspirated spin potential. This makes the 100D imo a more versatile and dangerous weapon for varied styles of play. My one criticism of the 100D is its general mobility. With added mass & twist weight, it can feel at times a bit cumbersome. This holds especially true for those 1HBH players. A simple addition of some weight in the handle, whether lead tape or a leather grip swap, quickly fixes this. Like any new racquet, time to acclimate is needed but once achieved, this 100D is well worth consideration. In my opinion Yonex has created one of its best frames to date and I'd argue is a strong candidate for racquet of the year!

Basically perfectI have been playing with Head Speed MP’s the last few years. I tried the vcore 98 and 100 and couldn’t control the power. This racquet is basically perfect. Lots of power but very controlled and consistent. The sweet spot is huge. The stability is better than any racquet I have ever hit with. Volleys are amazing, this racquet never gets over powered by incoming shots. Spin is terrific and comfort is excellent, and I have a very sensitive elbow.

Solid... but slow.Coming from the VCore 98 2023 is how I am criticizing this frame... I was hoping to find a replacement racquet to have in my arsenal. This one is almost perfect. I love everything about it except how slow it is. It doesn't feel like I can get as much whip on it as my 98 therefore I don't get as much free spin, but that's okay, the tradeoff is that I can swing out a little bit more. Still a very enjoyable frame and will definitely keep in hopes of getting used to it. Until then I give it 4/5 and if it was just easier to adjust I would give it a 5/5.

4.5 starsI played with this racquet. It does not have the same power as the 98 or the 100 but it can hit winners, and more about moving someone around with this racquet and having longer rallies. it has more control. Comfort level was fine, as was stability. Big sweet spot. Really easy to hit the ball in. For players who want to play more aggressive it will take some adjustment but it's a frame to try for sure. Yonex clearly made this racquet for the 100 crowd who wanted more control but still with enough power.
