The adidas Barricade 13 carries on the legacy of being the ultimate court shoe, by continuing to instill confidence in your movement. When it comes to hardcourt stability and durability the Barricade has been an industry leader for nearly two decades, however with the last couple of iterations adidas has refined and put emphasis on improving the comfort and ventilation. The upper of these shoes features breatheable mesh and is reinforced in the high wear and drag zones with Adituff Recycled material; durability meets sustainability. Adding to the comfort and new to this update is the Dual Density Repetitor midsole cushioning, delivering a super soft and energetic response as you move around the court. Heel comfort and lockdown is maintained through the Geofit pods, while the tried and true Torsion System remains, to help you with intense changes of direction and sliding control. The outsole is equipped with Adiwear 2.0 rubber in a split-herringbone design for maximum durability, traction, and sliding capabilities. Dependable durability and support.I have purchased at least a dozen pair of Barricades since I began playing tennis in 2003. When I began playing tennis as a serious activity, I was impressed with the sole durability of Barricades compared to competitor's tennis shoes. Barricades don't always fit my narrow B width feet, but I can usually alter the lacing to tighten the shoes properly. I also find that other brand tennis shoes offer superior cushioning to the Barricades, but since I wear orthotics in my shoes to combat weak arches cushioning isn't a priority compared to support. I'm a lifelong Nike athlete from the 70s, using Nike running, basketball, golf, and cross training products. When I tried Nike cross trainers and tennis shoes in the past, I usually wear the soles down much quicker. I have never experienced a failure in Barricades, so I highly recommend these Barricades for any pickleball or tennis players looking for strong, durable product.
I'm a fan of BarricadeI like the Barricade shoes; I have probably worn 10 pair in the last 10 years. All for pickleball outdoors in Florida heat. Periodically I try something else such as Nike and Kswiss, but I always have come back to these. I particularly like that they hold up well and are stable - my main concerns. They also grip well and handle getting wet from perspiration well. This most recent pair, however, feel softer and less stable under me than prior versions, which is why I rated these only four-stars. I will be buying an 11th pair, I just hope they are more rigid and stable feeling.
Solid ShoeReally solid shoe, I have been buying these shoes for the past 2 years and haven't been any issues. It got a lot lighter since the previous models but they do last a little shorter. They usually last around 2-3 months for me (8 utr high school). I previously tried Lacoste, Nike, and head but I will definitely be sticking to these.

Solid shoe that just didn’t fit my feet welTried on lots of different shoes inside my home and these felt the most comfortable and stable of the lot. Unfortunately, once on court I was having an issue of my toes hitting the ends of the shoes during hard movements and since there is no option of a runners knot I was unable to remedy it. Very nice shoe if you are able to get proper lockdown.
