High levels of stability in a comfortable package. Fans of Boost cushioning look no further!
This second generation of the popular line from adidas, the adidas SoleMatch Control 2 ties in the look and style of the Barricade, but incorporates Boost cushioning in the midsole. This shoe is built for stability but also delivers a high level of comfort, with a generous fit in the toe-box. The Torsion System in the mid-foot helps to deliver the support and stability needed for quick changes of direction, and Boost in the midsole feels nice and plush for long hours on the court. ADITUFF+ material on the uppers improves durability and holds up strong for those players who drag on the hard courts. The outsole is equipped with Adiwear rubber and is formed into a herringbone profile for an ideal balance of traction and durability.
- Upper: Mesh upper provides a comfortable fit and support, while also improving ventilation from the previous version. Adituff+ material increases durability, and provides abrasion resistance for those players who drag.
- Midsole: Boost midsole for a plush ride. Torsion System enhances lateral stability.
- Outsole: ADIWEAR ultimate rubber compound for high wear durability. Innovative herringbone tread design for enhanced abrasion resistance in high wear areas, with medial protection built-up for drag foot when hard court sliding.
- Color: White / Black

Great qualityMy 12 years old son loves his new pair pickleball shoes and using them a lit at the courts:-)
ComfortableWas having soreness with my Achilles and decided to switch to this style. It has made a huge difference post match with no noticeable pain.
Perfect shoeWe appreciate the cost and quality!
Tennis ShoesMy son will only wear these shoes! We get about three months out of them and they are really comfortable and durable!
ComfortThis is the best shoe I have found in my 20 years of play. I'm happy to buy a second pair on sale. I noticed numerous players on the ATP tour are wearing this shoe so you know it has to be great. The toe box is wide enough to allow great comfort and there is a lot of support mid-sole.
adidas really stepped it upIf you have flat feet and foot and ankle pain, like I do, these are great!! They have a mid foot arch support built in to the shoe. Nice cushioning, zero break in time and a simple look. I was never a fan of adidas for tennis, but they’re starting to impress me.
ShoesSneaker is great
Good shoeI bought this shoe blindly because it was on sale. I didn’t do any research but found out it’s actually a pretty good shoe for my foot size and shape. Knowing that, it didn’t feel too tight but not too loose. I felt it was a little bulky but that didn’t take too long to get used to. In terms of durability, it’s quite good. I play around 6 days a week for 2-3 hours and I expect they’ll last me 2-3 months.
adidas Solematch whiteI recently tried the adidas Solematch white tennis shoes, and while they have some positive features, they didn’t work out for me due to their fit. On the plus side, the shoes have a sleek and modern design, with durable materials and great traction on the court. They seem well-built and capable of withstanding the demands of regular tennis play. However, the fit was a significant drawback. The shoes felt very tight, especially around the midfoot and toe box. Unfortunately, Adidas doesn’t offer this model in wide sizes, which makes it unsuitable for players with broader feet. While these might be a great choice for someone with narrower feet, I’d recommend those needing extra width to look elsewhere. A wider size option could have made these a more inclusive and versatile choice for tennis players.

Shipping is good, but not the shoesThe sole is hard and not blended with the feet. It always feel like I am wearing something extra. My feet sore after some time. It is slippery on slightly moisture on the court. I will not recommend it.

Better than the other brandOne of my favorite tennis shoes. The most comfortable shoes I have ever had, and the price is reasonable.

Stability on courtI need a stable durable shoe which holds up on hard courts. Tennis brings about movement which is really very harsh and for agility to occur the equipment has to support those movements. I always chose a heavier stability shoe, over a lightweight flimsy shoe, so that my body will hold together and stay healthy during play and recovery from play. This shoe takes care of you.

Nice, but not perfectI found the shoe to run a little long. I am normally a 10.5 and my Ubersonics actually are a little tight/short. I like a lace system that I can tighten a lot. The Barricades have elastic in the string eyelets, making it hard to tighten but not so much. These shoes remind me of a Barricade lite, i.e. the uppers look similar but normal eyes for the lacing system so you can get them tight. The uppers and sole have lots of cushioning so very plush. But maybe a little too plush, i.e. they don't feel as quick on your feet as the Ubersonics. I am still searching for the right shoe for me having tried a bunch after the new Barricades came out... transitioned to Ubersonics and then they were changed. Summary, this is a nice stable shoe, good comfort, out of the box but more of a performance sedan than a sports car. Price is good. For me they ran a little long.

An improvement of a sortI've played in the original Solematch Control for some time, and found them to be very stable, if not as plush as the Diadoras I used to wear. Like this shoe, the updated Control 2 can accommodate an orthotic and work with feet that are slightly wide through the forefoot, though it accommodates them in part by spreading out more across the laces. The update is a bit longer than the original, which was notably short. It has the same low to the ground feel as the originals, and I think the shank leads to less of a sense of pronation than the originals. My foot just feels a little bit more "locked in" and less bouncy... Also the tongue is more padded. Still, the laces aren't as thick or long, which is a disappointment. On the whole, a decent enough improvement to a shoe that worked well for those of us with slightly bread-loaf like feet.

Stylist and consistentI’m a big fan, I like the narrowness and comfort. Really stylish look while also providing great support. Been wearing this line for several years and will continue. True to fit. Highly recommend

Solematch Control 2This is the first time I’ve tried the Solematch over the Barricade and it has been a much better fit for me. The front of the shoe from the arch to the toes seems wider and more comfortable than the Barricade. I’ll continue on with Solematch over the Barricade.
