Speed, stability and comfort align in the adidas Ubersonic 5! Updated with the callouts you loved from the 2nd version, these shoes offer step in comfort with a comfortable heel collar and lock down featuring a half bootie entry. Speedframe technology provides added stability for quick movements while the midsole remains responsive and cushioned. Breathability has been added with a cutout and venting through the outsole which also helps keep the shoes light. Adituff materials have been beefed up for a more durable experience, although we must mention, these shoes remain light and fast ideal for match day and won't be the most durable shoes in adidas' lineup.

Great Performance/ComfortLove adidas Ubersonic Shoes
Ubersonic 5I was a Defiant Bounce person. When they stopped manufacturing those I was lost. I tried the Ubersonic 4. It worked. I was happy. Then it was time to get new shoes again. Biscuit. The Ubersonic 5 is completely different. Stiffer. I likely won't order these again and will be once again looking for a new shoe.
Version 5!These sneakers are so small I could barely get my foot in them. My usual size and I’ve been wearing Ubersonics for 10 years! Please adidas. Stop changing your shoes! Also these shoes are ugly!
Felt cheap and unsupportiveThese sneakers felt very un-supportive and made of plastic. I was hopeful they might work since my feet usually love adidas sneakers, but this model just didn't work for my flat and slightly wide feet.
changed for the worseUnfortunately, these shoes have changed significantly from the Ubersonic 4 and it is for the worse. That previous model had a soft, stretchy sock-like element that kept my foot and lower ankle snug and I did not have to lace the shoe tightly. In this new, redesigned version 5 the sock-like element is GONE and replaced by thick bulky padding at the back of the heel. IT rubs and does not feel secure. I have to really pull the laces tight to keep my foot from sliding and that really hurts the top of my foot as I have a high instep. They are still light, and they seem to have a bit more padding in the sold, but they feel bulky and puffy and they really hurt my feet. My foot was aching after one hour of play, which never happened with the Ubersonic 4. I will not wear them again; I am searching the web for the older models and at some point will have to find a new shoe. Very annoyed. I do not recommend this version of the Ubersonic.
Missed the markI have been wearing the adidas women's Ubersonic tennis shoes for years. I was so upset when I saw they changed the design so much this year. I gave them a shot and instantly knew they weren't for me the second I tried them on. The sides of the shoe goes up much higher now, so it was pressing and rubbing on my ankle the second I tried them on. I didn't mind the feel of the shoe in the toe area-it did feel well supported. I wore a 7.0 in the older versions and they run the same in regards to the sizing. The tongue of the shoe and the high sides of the shoe are a complete miss for me-there's no way I could play in this new shoe design. Definitely have to return them and bummed I now have to look for a new replacement shoe/brand.
