Explosively fast with Energy Rod technology! This shoe is built for explosive speed, with the support and comfort needed for competitive players.

A speed shoe that is infused with an energy boost, the adidas Cybersonic 2 has been upgraded with even more comfort and stability for players looking to maximize their court coverage. Carrying on with the signature Energy Rod for lightweight propulsion, this shoe feels explosive while also providing a glove-like fit from the half bootie inner-sleeve. Improving upon the underfoot cushioning, adidas enhances the Dual-Density Lightstrike midsole, while the upper feels light and breathable from the Engineered mesh. The outsole is equipped with Adiwear rubber for a unique blend of durability and traction, with the toe and medial side covered by the RPU Adituff abrasion protection.

  • Upper: Half bootie internal sleeve hugs the foot for a comfortable, glove like support. Outer Engineered Mesh layer for added support and ventilation.  RPU ADITUFF material on the toes and medial side for added durability and drag protection.
  • Midsole: Dual density Lightstrike foam keeps the weight down, while blending great comfort, shock absorption, and responsive reactivity.
  • Outsole: ADIWEAR rubber compound provides durability and grip, and is formed into a multi-directional herringbone pattern that performs well on a variety of court surfaces.
  • Color: Lucid Lemon / Black

Cyber… A W E S O M E !Have to agree with Mark from California's review! I came to try these from Foot Doctor Zach's review. These shoes did not disappoint!!!! My go to shoe was the ASICS Solution Speed line. The latest version did not work for me. The CBv2 is amazing. They remind me of the feather lites from back in the day. They are very stable and they work wonderfully with my orthotic. The lacing system really works for me. My feet feel locked in with no ankle slippage. A great shoe!!!!

DON'T SLLEP ON THESE! SHOE OF THE YEAR?Just got my pair yesterday and took them out today for some doubles. REALLY interesting shoe. Not at all what I expected after the CB1s nearly broke my feet. Not only are they stable and ventilated, but dare I say they almost feel PLUSH underfoot?! I think Foot Doctor Zach touched upon this in his recent review, but they reminded me a bit of the Nike GP Turbo (or even the Zoom Zero) without the instability of the higher stack in those shoes. Not sure if it is the Energy Rod tech, but they both felt cushioned and had some snap to them when I had to scramble. I don't know how the Rods work, but there is something definitely going on here - and I like it! A total surprise. Could be shoe of the year IMO!

Customer review: adidas adizero Cybersonic 2I am a 4.0 male tennis player, age 70, who plays about 3-4 times a week. My service for the purchase was excellent. I received my RSPA promotional discount. The shoes arrived on time and fit true to size. They are notably lighter than my Asics. The shoe offers great stability had provides a firm grip to the court service. My footwork feels nimble with these shoes. They lace up firmly with no heel slippage. The only recommendation I have is to provide higher value shoe strings with these shoes.

Great shoe, but not for everyone.I grew up and still play with Barricades. I decided to give this model a try since it combined the best of two shoes into one. This is a great shoe. It is lightweight and provides great cushioning. Perfect for players that are looking for a lighter shoe that still provides explosive energy return. The outsole is pretty stable but not for everyone (will elaborate more later). The tread pattern is pretty standard and provides great grip on courts. The upper is flexible with the engineered mesh that doesn’t need any break in time. Felt like a glove right out of the box. The tongue can be a hit or miss depending on your foot. It provides great comfort on top of the foot, but if you have sensitive foot this might bother you a little bit. Overall the over is as breathable as it gets, due to the nature of the shoe having protective coating on the material it’s not fully breathable like a running shoe would be. The toes have a molded toe overlay, this provides great protection and durability. After playing with these for more than 30 hours. I will say what stands out the most is the durability. The outsole of this shoe does not last as long as other models. It is a different type of shoe, but the durability could be improved on the rubber. The tread started to wear out quickly. The second thing that stood out was stability. This is why I say this model may not be for everyone. The underfoot stability is different from other models. Here you are off the ground a little bit more, and the overall width of the outsole is in the ball and heel of the shoe. Compared to the Barricade which provides great stability and brings you closer to the ground, this model will feel different. Again not a bad thing it’s personal choice, but if you have balance issues I wouldn’t recommend this model. Overall this shoe has been great. I’m an aggressive baseline player and love to run around a lot. I would recommend this shoe to players that are looking for energy return and lightweight shoe, that might not be as structured as the Barricades. I will still keep my Barricades and play with both of these shoes. Both great, it comes down to personal choice.
