Designed to be the ultimate lightweight performance shoe, the Asics Solution Speed FF 3 Clay provides a special blend of speed, stability, and comfort for players who run down every ball. Since the inception of the Solution Speed, comfort, lightness, and flexibility have been key elements of its design. With this 6th generation of the Solution Speed Asics re-engineers the Speedtruss system, which enhances flexibility and speed, while giving you stability to change directions with full force. The new uppers consist of woven mesh for a lighter and more comfortable feel, while also improving breathability. Also new for this update is Asics' Precision-Sole outsole, formed into a full herringbone pattern for maximum grip on clay courts and flexes smoothly as you sprint all over the court!
- Upper: Engineered woven mesh for a lighter feel and improved comfort (previous version had more TPU). PGUARD technology protects toe-drag damage, and added protection on the medial side.
- Midsole: FLYTEFOAM cushioning is responsive comfortable. FLYTEFOAM PROPEL helps with heel to toe transition for a speedier feel when pushing off. Speedtruss improves flexibilty, and helps stabilize feet during intense transitions.
- Outsole: High Abrasion Rubber in a full herringbone tread pattern, provides maximum grip on clay courts.

New model for meHistory of plantar fasciitis and decided to switch to these ASICS on a recommendation. Very impressed, lightweight and comfortable. So far no return of the plantar fasciitis!
Way inconsisent sizingNever had any type of shoe either be too big or too tight for the same size in running shoes or tennis but of three pairs only one was good normal shape foot slightly narrow medium they need to get a grip on quality control.
Great shoeI have enjoyed using the shoes for the last two months. I purchased a 1/2 size down so that when I broke them in they would fit correctly. (The first two times you wear them will be uncomfortable but after that they have been great). The traction is fantastic, they feel very stable, and breathe well but not incredibly well. They are lightweight and definitely make me feel connected to the court. I had to use a buddy’s pair of shoes a few weeks ago when I forgot mine and it made me realize how connected these shoes make you feel. They are low to the ground and yet still stable. You definitely give up a bit of comfort but for me it’s worth it. Great tennis shoes for me (24 year old playing 4.5). Only gripe I have is that the aglet came off the shoe laces after one wear which was just annoying.
DynamiteLove them. I have wider feet so I do just about max these out. At time there can be some discomfort due to the on the out edge of my right foot. Sometimes cured with a re-tying of the shoes. That’s the only “issue”.
Otherwise. Light. Fast. Feel like not even there. Which is great because I don’t want to be thinking about my shoes when playing.
They feel nimble and like they allow me to be very precise with me foot work.
Comfort levelFor whatever reason the FF 3 tongue keeps sliding to the left, which didn’t happen with the previous versions. At certain point it becomes uncomfortable as no cushioning is left to cover the feet on the right side. Maybe a defective sample.

Solid ShoeI've used Solution Speed for years; the new version is slightly different but still the same great shoe.
Succeeded adding this to my court shoes.Normally wear FF 3 Novak in rotation. Wanted a lighter speed shoe for heavy singles competition. Even on day 1 mentally felt faster. I will use these for singles and stick to FF 3 for general play
Comfortable shoesComfortable and light. I would recommend above most tennis shoes that I have worn.

Good shoes!I have only played in these shoes a few times, but so far, so good. They fit well and feel light on my feet, and allow for confident court movement.

Second thoughts…So, I posted an earlier review on this shoe when the first color l(Koi/blue). Now after owning three pairs, I have to say, NOT as good as the previous version. I noticed the cushioning is OK. Although, they feel lighter, the cushioning seemed to dissipate in terms of comfort after a month of playing 4-5 times a week. Also, for me, I liked the lacing system better on the FF2s better. Like on the Resolution 9s. Switching shoes now…

Going with what works!I purchased these to replace a pair of ASICS SS FF that I purchased around a year and a half ago. They are a great shoe hands down. With that being said, the newer version is not quite as cushiony as my older pair. Not sure why. They are just as stable as the old pair but lack that comfortable ASICS feel you generally get with ASICS. I would still wear this tennis shoe over any other brand!

Two steps backI’ve worn the Solution Speed FF for the past three years. It has always been super comfortable right out of the box and a perfect fit for my foot. This update is not comfortable right out of the box and is no longer true to size. I’ve always worn a 9.5 but my foot sloshes all over the place in this shoe.
