Babolat adds another chapter to one of the game's most iconic racquets

With its "best of class" combination of speed, spin and power, the Pure Aero is one of the most popular and versatile racquets ever made. At 11.2 ounces strung and boasting a zippy sub-325 swingweight, this stick delivers easy acceleration from the baseline and quick handling at net. It also possesses the kind of spin-friendly precision and raw power that is dangerous in the hands of aggressive players. For 2022, in addition to a more arm-friendly flex point, Babolat adds comfort with NF² Technology, which uses flax inserts in the handle and upper hoop to soften ball impact. Babolat also updates its FSI Spin technology with slightly tighter string spacing. The result is greater control (and confidence) when maximizing stroke speed in the service of power and spin. Intermediate and advanced players looking for a speedy spin-monster with surgical targeting will love this update.

Best racquet everThis racquet is amazing. Feels so good to hit with it. Gives a nice soft feel during impact. Good weight. Nice spin and control and comfort. Best racquet I ever played with.

Babolat Pure Aero 2023This racquet is really working for me. I like the feel of this racquet. It has lots of power. Vollying can be more challenging. I hit the ball a bit flatter then most, but I can hit with spin if needed. I believe power and spin potential comes from this racquet's relative higher stiffness rating. I have tried less stiff racquets like the Wilson Blade and found the Blade to have less feel, and somewhat less power and control. I know stiff racquets can be hard on the arm. I have been a using copolyester string (Solinco Hyper G) at about 46 tension which have helped to avoid shoulder and elbow injury. My last racquet was the Pure Aero 2019. I have found the 2023 Aero to have slightly less power but more control then the 2019 racquet. Otherwise, these two racquets feel very similar. I recommend giving the 2023 Aero a try if you are looking for a powerful spin generating but controlled tennis racquet.

Great racquetAt first I struggled to see what all the fuss was about with the pure aero. I demoed several different versions with different strings and I just did not mesh well with it. But after playing with a 100 SQ inch with head volocity MLT at 51lbs it plays like a dream. One of the most comfortable racquets available while still having plenty of feel for the ball, not too muted and gives you plenty of power and spin. It has quickly become one of my top 3 racquets.

Easy power and spinMy 11 yr old son and many of his competitive jr peers use this racquet for a reason. Its easy power and spin lets them hit big while keeping the ball in the court. I used to use it myself, but my imperfect form along with this stiffness was too much for my elbow. It is a beast, though.

Great racquetThis is a great racquet. It is a classic and you can't go wrong with it. Very powerful but still gives you good control and feel.

FascinatingSo far, I've only used this racquet to rally with, but it, not me, sometimes makes shots that I thought I'd missed. Can't really tell much without trying it in a match or or at least a competitive situation.

As good as advertisedDefinitely lives up to the spin monster hype. Feels great on serves and sturdy on volleys. You will feel it on off center shots so it’s gonna give you feedback you can feel. Fair warning if that’s not your thing.

The COMPLETE racquetSo much control, it should be marketed as a Precision racquet. Great comfort (make sure you string 3-4 pounds less than your norm, due to the denser string pattern) Power house on a stick (I don’t understand who says not enough power, it’s certainly still an Aero racquet) and with the right technique it can be a missile launcher Go for it, with no hesitation

Good power and spin but not arm friendlyI used this racquet for 6 months and it did work well as other reviews described below. Power and Spin frame, that can be easily used by 3.0 to 4.5 levels. But - it gave me wrist pain that was only present when playing with this racquet and not others in my rotation.
